I can't seem to find one with my physical limitations. I broke my back a few years ago and it hurts lots still so I can't do any heavy lifting and also crushed my foot at the same time and it hasn't healed either so I can't stand on my feet all day. I can't seem to find maybe a job on the internet. They all seem like scams. Any ideas? I don't need to make a million $ just something part time to keep me busy and bring in a little cash.

Me too !
Spinal discs squished and feet hurting (but from the sciatic nerve pinch) .

Personally , although I have walking issues , long periods of sitting (like in front of this dumb computer) can aggravate it .

Have you considered applying somewhere that has people at the customer service desks , like Home Depot or Lowes ?
Apply for the front desk job , that will have little weight lifting and lots of opportunities to sit on the stool while checking on customer orders etc .

You did not say what your skills or previous work was so it is kinda hard to suggest a direction but there are jobs that do NOT involve lifting .
Heck , one guy was just on here saying that call center people make $18 hr to talk to people on the phone and lots of times , there aren't many calls !

And yes , those internet jobs are mostly scams because lots of people looking to make $$$$ at home but since there really isn't much ,
There are lots of people to sucker into those scams .

Our prayers are with you .

Disability laws mean that employers can't discriminate against you for having a disability, and the employer may even get help in changing the work place to suit your needs.

Anyone in pain who is determined to get out of the house and do some work is employable. Just go to employers and be honest. You can work a cash register (they can provide a stool for you to sit on), answer telephones and so on. You may need to get a special erganomic chair if you sit down for too long.

But talk to companies, be upfront and honest. Those that aren't going to be tolerant will not want to deal with you. Those that appreciate your determination, will probably make a special job just for you.

Try telemarketing companies, large deparment store/supermarket chains, or your local area.

You could be a telemarketer (doesn't sound appealing, I know, but hey..). Maybe a receptionist? There ARE legit jobs on the Internet, too; Alpine Access is a good one. Go to the forums at www.wahm.com for lots of links and ideas. Good luck. There are jobs out there for you. I hope that you can someday find something to take away your back pain, too. Take care. :)

How long can you sit? You could try customer service or collections. It's not the greatest, but it pays the bills. There is always medical billing as well.
