It's sad that even some Mormons don't even know what their religion teaches.
They "used" to teach that "black" people were from demons that were cast down to the earth.
They also believe one can be baptized for another after they die-the bible says there is one baptism.
And yes, they believe they will become a God and they believe Adam is our God when the bible is clear he was a created being in Genesis by God.

It's very sad, I pray for anyone who is Mormon that I know that they might come to know the truth that lies alone in Jesus, not Joseph Smith.

Joseph Smith borrowed from many sources to cludge his new religion together. By studying what was going on in his area you can predict what he was going to do. There was a huge anti Catholic sentiment in the mid 1820s, and he included many passages in the beginning of the Book of Mormon describing them as the 'abominable whore' - language borrowed straight from a local newspaper. There were groups like Oneida and Cochranites in New York then that practiced spiritual wifery and communism - hence polygamy and the United Order. The list is long. Smith was a smart man who experimented with other people's concepts regularly.

Most mormons don't know that they are wearing masonic symbols, and know nothing about the fact that the masonic ceremonies resemble nearly word for word, the temple ceremonies....even though there is a scripture in the D&C claiming that god revealed temple things to Joseph that had never before been seen by man.
They also don't know that Hyrum Smith was the highest ranking Mason in palmyra, and was a very public mason for 20 years.
likewise most mormons do not know that the very same specific parts of the temple ceremony and the mason ritual were removed.
Masons removed the parts in 1987
Mormons removed the parts later in 1991 due to god revealing to the prophet that it should be done.
They also don't know that all of these facts can be found in their very own BYU libraries and in public archives.
