You will be okay with that small amount, but if you don't need them don't take them. I'd say take them at night if they help you sleep but otherwise stick to something like Advil if you are more comfortable.

I have percocet for my pain, but they cost too much to become addicted. I don't even take the prescribed amount.

You'll find it EXTREMELY tough to get a refill so getting hooked is not likely.
Most people actually don't get addicted. Some people get sick from them actually, and some people just feel better.
Don't think you have to live in pain, because you don't.

You should not worry at all; the active ingredient is oxycodone- the addictive part at only 5mg, and 325mg of Tylenol. I have taken this medication myself for post surgery pain. Now with thirty pills -you will not get addicted, it is possible, but judging from the amount of paranoia you have about this to the point of asking addicts online verses the doc who prescribed them is not only alarming but tells me that your paranoia alone wont let you get addicted. I mean, do have the capability to do heroin, have you ever done drugs in the past? are you a drugie?are you completely out of control? do you not think you will be able to stop yourself from going that far? If you really don’t want to get addicted you won’t. this drug does not turn you into a zombie and make you completely throw caution to the wind to the point of seeking heroin on the street, you may lie to your doctor and get a refill or two if you really fall in love with the high they give {and believe me it will give you a high} but you wont go the street to look for heroin, but different people are affected differently, psychologically and physically. People have different absorption abilities, and react differently. To name the extremes you will either love them so much you will think it is a cure-it-all elixir, or it will cause nausea to the point of vomiting, which is very common or somewhere in the middle. if your physiology is one that takes well to this drug, meaning your chemistry of your body is such that you have a high absorption ability and you happen to love the feeling it gives, then you have a chance to one day become addicted, when I say one day, I mean way in the far future, and that is to assume you are actively going to try to get addicted by acquiring at least 200 hundred pills or more, take them continuously for more than 30 days, and take at least triple(abuse them) or more than prescribed... continuously- for months. the only way THAT will happen is after the first time you take it, you literally have a one hour orgasmic feeling, which is better than anything you have ever felt before in your entire life, yes even sex, and you fall in love and try to achieve the same "high" you got the first time-which is impossible. Most people who feel this way have to have ALL of the following conditions met: 1. you have some sort of mental disorder-whether you admit it, have been correctly diagnosed by a doc, or are not even aware of your mental condition- example anxiety, depression, or even paranoia. everyone has a little bit of these but some have more than others.( I am going to speculate and guess that you are a little too paranoid about most things in life - like worried about taking pain medication that your doc(who by the way has the responsibility of human lives in his hands) who is well educated and experienced not to mention has above average intelligence(most docs-some dumb ones slip through the cracks) prescribed you may lead to you going to get on heroin, if this drug alleviates this paranoia you have, you may love it just for that alone enough to abuse it one day. now #2 is what I mentioned before- your absorption rate and the particular feeling it gives you, most people love it, beside the wonderful feeling it gives them it also alleviates many psychological disorders for the short terms, basically masks symptoms of real problems like most drugs prescribed by docs. so something that not only feels great and makes me not be anxious, depressed, paranoid, worried all the time etc...Etc... Then of course masses of people are going to love it and chase it to the point of getting heroin, or faking scripts to the pharmacy, or lie to their docs. NO ONE SETS OUT TO BECOME ADDICTED, it happens slowly and without warning over a period of time. People take 160mg at once, you re only taking 5 to 10 mg at a time so doesn’t worry about anything. you wont turn into a zombie and say screw everything I going to get heroin because I love this drug soooo much, I didn’t, no one I know did, and millions of people everyday don’t, it is a choice- harder for some than others-but it is a choice at least in the beginning- before you turn into a zombie and stop at nothing to get high even death or prison, that is when you are a slave to this drug or a zombie- but that take will and determination and time- so if you really don’t want to get addicted you wont. Take them as prescribed to alleviate your extreme pain- that is the purpose of this drug *extreme pain* and when you get well, STOP! Or your fears of turning to a zombie will come true, i ve seen it happen to highly intelligent people and well educated, like doctors! so be careful but don’t suffer, take as prescribed and you will be ok, I promise.
