God hates war, and promises, soon war and death will be no more
Mic 4:3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plow-shares, and their spears into pruning-hooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Isa 2:4 And he will judge among the nations, and will rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plow-shares, and their spears into pruning-hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Psa 46:9 He maketh wars to cease to the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear asunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
Darby version:
2Co 10:3 For walking in flesh, we do not war according to flesh.
2Co 10:4 For the arms of our warfare are not fleshly, but powerful according to God to the overthrow of strongholds;
2Co 10:5 overthrowing reasonings and every high thing that lifts itself up against the knowledge of God, and leading captive every thought into the obedience of the Christ;
English Standard Version:
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
(PARTICULAR NOTICE TO VERSE 12)
Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Eph 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

What is a good bible passage in relation to war? Looking in my topical section there is Ex. 13: 17, 32:17, Josh. 11:23, Ps. 46:9, 76:3, Eccl. 3: 8, Is. 2:4, Matt. 24:6, Rom. 7:23, James 4:1, 1 Pet. 2:11, Rev. 19:1. Not knowing what specific area of war your looking for.....giving you the widest possibilities. Hope at least some of these were helpful.

9 The Israelites captured the Midianite women and children and took all the Midianite herds, flocks and goods as plunder. 10 They burned all the towns where the Midianites had settled, as well as all their camps. 11 They took all the plunder and spoils, including the people and animals, 12 and brought the captives, spoils and plunder to Moses and Eleazar the priest and the Israelite assembly at their camp on the plains of Moab, by the Jordan across from Jericho. [a]
13 Moses, Eleazar the priest and all the leaders of the community went to meet them outside the camp. 14 Moses was angry with the officers of the army—the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds—who returned from the battle.
15 "Have you allowed all the women to live?" he asked them. 16 "They were the ones who followed Balaam's advice and were the means of turning the Israelites away from the LORD in what happened at Peor, so that a plague struck the LORD's people. 17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.

Don't know the exact passage number, but look around for a story to do with "The Walls of Jericho Came Tumbling Down when Joshua blew his Horn". There's a hymn, "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho", I believe. Or something like that.

There are many passages about war. Look in Kings for that. Revelation speaks of the horseman and the plagues of war. Ezekial speaks of war....Eze 5:12 A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

In Ecclesiastes: (a time for this, a time for that, etc in ch. 3) there is the part about "a time for war and a time for peace."
But the most important thing (IMO) the Bible teaches about war is the sixth commandment (All 10 found in Exodus): "Thou shalt not kill."

Sorry to break it to you folks, but until Messiah is ruling with a Rod of Iron, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is a God of war! And don't forget our very Messiah will come in Revelation to make war against those who come against Israel.
Revelation 19:11
He... was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

Exodus 15:3
Jehovah is a man of war; Jehovah is His name.
Numbers 31:3
So Moses spoke to the people, saying, “Arm some of yourselves for war, and let them go against the Midianites to take vengeance for the LORD on Midian."
Numbers 10:9
“When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the LORD your God, and you will be saved from your enemies."
Numbers 31:5
So there were recruited from the divisions of Israel one thousand from each tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
Psalm 144:1
Blessed be the LORD my Rock,Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle.
And BTW, war secured American independence; war freed the slaves; war liberated Europe (in spite of itself); war ended the Holocaust; war destroyed Hitler's Third Reich; and the threat of war kept the United States and Western Europe free throughout the Cold War and today. Yes, war is destructive, and that's why it keeps tyrants at bay.

How about the prophesy that people will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning shears, and they'll learn war NO MORE?
Maybe it's in Isaiah somewhere.
