Love Trees. Mixed native woodlands of trees. Want to name them all.
But as it is nearly apple picking time today my favourite is apple trees. Why? You just have to spend a few pennies to buy one, spend a few minutes to plant one and then you leave it alone. In Spring it rewards you with incredible blossum, in summer it has the lushest of leaves in autumn you get wonderful juicy crisp apples year on year.
Then of course there is apple wassailing where you have a cider party and wander out in the dark with lanterns and torches, place cider round the roots and toast for on the branches to guarantee a good crop next year. I nearly fell in the pond last year, not taking enough notice. Then back indoors for a some hot apple cake and a glass of ice cold cider to toast the next harvest.

Live Oak, we have one that is at least 150 years old and it is quite amazing. We are in the South so it always has hanging moss. So pretty.
For a blooming tree it would be Dogwood. They are gorgeous when in bloom.

Mulberry. It was one of the few native fruit trees in the Americas. There are truly magnificent examples in Kansas that are hundreds of years old.

Mango --- it's big and shady and beautiful and the fruit is great to eat and there is lots of fruit. The specific kind of Mango is, I believe, is the Indian Mango. At least this is the Mango found in the Philippines.

Japanese Fire Elm - I love how the colors change in the summer and fall, from light green tips to a dusty rose coloring.
