and it had one of those little pop up timers, well I stupidly trusted it when it said the chicken was done. I pulled it out and got all my sides done. Went to slice it and low and behold, it is NOT done. The family is ready to eat, what can I do? Do you think I could finish it in the microwave? Not my favorite idea but I need it to finish up quickly. Do you have any ideas or will the microwave work?

Thanks!! I have never trusted those things before, but I was letting my 6 year old help and decided to. We won't do that again. At least he got a lesson learned on always checking yourself and how to use the meat thermometer.

Cut the chicken in half and lay it down on it's skin. Add some hot chicken juice that you must have from the drippings and pout it all over the suspected raw pieces and put it back in the oven for ten minutes at 350 degrees. Go into the dining room and tell a few jokes or dance for 10 minutes.

I guess it depends upon how under-done your chicken is.

If it's almost done, but still pink then you might as well slice the chicken up so it will microwave faster.

If you have any pan juices or gravy, I'd add a little so the chicken doesn't dry out.

Zap for about 2 minutes at a time until done.

If the chicken is far from being done, then just throw it back in the oven, but cut up into serving size pieces so it will cook evenly and quickly.

Weigh the chicken, then positioned the oven on gas mark 4,pound the chicken take out giblets in the event that they're interior the chicken, prepare dinner the chicken for half-hour for each 1lb the chicken weighs. as an occasion if the chicken is 3lb then this equals half-hour situations 3 = ninety minutes upload on one greater 20 minutes so this equals a entire of a hundred and ten minutes or one million hour and 50 minutes. Use a fork to dig into the beef and if no blood comes out of the chicken, then that's cooked if there is then positioned it on for yet another 20 minutes and repeat the stab technique returned.

Don't put it in the microwave, it'll make it worse. Put on the middle rack of the oven and finsh baking it, make sure that the outside stays moist so that the turkey doesn't become too dry. If the family is still complaining of hunger, then take some snack stuff and feed them a little until the chicken is done. Good Luck!

The microwave will work very well - I did an entire Thanksgiving turkey in a microwave once when my oven died!! Put it in for about 15-20 minutes, and you should be ready to eat.

Cut the chicken up an broil the pieces. The microwave may make your chicken chewy and rubbery.
