Time to try again.
Religion, god, jesus, and the bible.
All these subjects are yet to be proved to me. ive tried once to get answer, get proof that they exist, but people seem to think that posting "just have faith", or "he died on the cross for you, and you still dont believe" have any belonging here. lets explain something. this is a place to ANSWER a question, and "just have faith" isnt an answer.
im currently a lost baptist, struggling to hold onto my faith, but i find more and more things to sugest that god is only a form of government used to keep us from doing things that we enjoy. (for example, withcraft). the way i see it, unless i can find some sort of proof in the form of literature that god is real, then i value life toooo much to risk not living it to the fullest, as i cant be assured that there is anything after life.
please, help me regain my faith, and prove to me that god is real.

circumstance only goes so far? im a firm believer that our needs and thoughts reflect the things that come to us. in great need, comes amazing things, because of the positive vibes that we create.
as to your suggestion to go to church to go through the motions......well see i definitely disagree with that, as i see that a way of program. i dont want to be programed to believe something. i hate that idea. it becomes something that feels false then. but thanks for trying =)

1.) without proof, its impossible for me to have faith.
2.) not quite sure what this means.
3.) My life, my terms. If god didnt want me to go by my terms, then he shouldnt have given me common sense.
4.) Define "sin". is it simply what the bible (in gods words) tells us what to do and what not to do?
you stated "Mankind cannot prove God through their terms. God set the guidelines.
Seek, and you shall find." here you say seek and you shall find. but theres only one way that i know how to seek, and thats through my own terms, which you just told me that couldnt be possible........hmmmm.

i was hoping that somebody wouldnt do this. I want to point out that i dont believe the bible to true, for the sole reason that nobody can seem to answer who wrote it. the bible is a collection of stories and scripture, and all these biblical people are from different periods of time. so my question to you is who actually sat down and put all those stories onto a piece of paper for the first time.
sorry to say, that the bible for me is far from proof...indeed, its actually just another question that i have.

again for cindy.
life is at total freedom when we start fresh. its when we start picking up habits, routines, religions and careers that we start being restricted, as they all come with their own rules, and regulations

Everybody experience God in a different way, I talk to Him, worship Him through song, dance, prayer. If you don't want to believe in Him, don't force it. It's just not for some people. I'm sorry I can't give "proof" in a scientific matter, but my proof is in my heart and soul. I feel His presence every day. May God bless you on your journey and I hope you find what you're looking for.

Here are my practical answers and I hope they help. You want some sort of literature to prove God is real...you have something called the Holy Bible. This is God's word written down for you. Pick it up and really dive into it. Start with John and really meditate on the Lord's love for you. Look at what He did for you (died on the cross) and thank Him for it. Then, pray. Pray and just tell God what you told us now. That you are struggling and you need some answers. If you are sincere, He will provide the answers and reveal Himself. I just find the more I do these things, the clearer God becomes. Oh, and by the way, when you truly live your life for God, you ARE living life to the fullest. There is more freedom in Christ than any other avenue. Hope this stuff helps:)

there probably is no tangible proof. what does the spirit tell you?
i know god is real from situations in my life that happened. circumstance only goes so far, but i recognize the hand of god in my life.
as a former baptist, you should know that god doesnt show signs.
in luke(?) it talks about a rich man and lazarus, and how lazarus is a beggar and is satisfied with table scraps, then they both die. lazarus is with abraham in heaven, while the rich man is in hell. he asks the angel if he can leave hell, and when the angel says no, asks if an angel can be sent to warn his brothers. the angel says that if they did not believe the prophets, they would not believe the angel either.
I will not tell you to gain more faith- but you should pray. whosoever asketh in faith, nothing waivering, will receive the truth (something like that)
go to church again- even if you dont believe yet- go through the motions until the spirit feels stronger. only then will you have the strength needed to gain more faith.
good luck, whatever you decide.

1. Hebrews 11:6 Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
2. Jeremiah 9:23-24 Let no one glory unless they understand and know Him (God)
3. Stop seeking Him on YOUR terms. It is through the prayer and power of the Holy Spirit, and believing (and obeying) Jesus and His commandments.
4. Repent for your sins. Sins are what separates mankind from God.
Mankind cannot prove God through their terms. God set the guidelines.
Seek, and you shall find.

Have you gone to God yet and asked him to reveal himself? Until you do that, anything else you find (including what you find in literature) will just be the testimony of human beings. Which is great, but not completely reliable.
Don't you want to know God for yourself? You can... if you want to talk more, email me.

If you are not willing to seek God then you are truly lost.
There is nothing I can say that will change your heart, only God can do that.
The choice is completely yours and you know that.

you wont...
I am sorry , I believe in God
but what you are looking for wont be found
I myself have had experiences that have led me to believe in God
I cant give you my experiences , they wont do it for you
you have to take only what makes sense to you
if that means becoming Atheist , then that is what is going to happen
it would be illogical to force faith when your heart isnt in it
I know I will get thumbs down for this
but you have to trust what makes sense for you
the only thing I will say , is perhaps looking in other places , other religions or denominations before giving up totally

You sound as though you must find a belief. Why is that? Do you think that being realistic is too difficult for you? If it is, that is unfortunate because all religions are myth.

If there was a god, and if that god thought it was imperative that you believe in him, do you think he would make it hard to do so?
