my son is doing a report on birds and we can not find anything to show us this answer. he also need to know how they use there body parts to help them meet there needs

Let's see....
-Birds convert most of their consumed food into heat to keep them warm
-Their feathers have a slight waterproof coating
-They can turn their heads 180 degrees to watch out for predators
-Their beaks can reach into tight spaces for food
-They can fly, obviously, as a way to travel long distances and escape from harm
