it's a dark night. i am driving through unfamiliar streets with my mom as my passenger.it is raining.i turn into a street that has a puddle.not realizing this isnt an ordianry puddle.as i drive through it the car starts to capsize.water starts flowing in.i panick for a few seconds.knowing my mom doesnt know how to swim.and then i just sit and let the water wash over me.and there is a feeling of peace.i know i am drowning but it seems so peaceful and quiet and i end up just falling into the deepest sleep.thats where it ends.what does this mean?

Night

Baloney in that previous answer.
It's just random representations of some of your worst fears. There may be a reason your mother is in the dream, but probably isn't. Who else is it going to be but a woman which such prevalance in your life? It's not going to be a stranger. There is no secret hidden meaning to dreams. That's why you hear about stuff like that on talk shows and don't read about it in medical journals.

I have a degree in psychology and can tell you that all of the stuff that sound like it's made up - probably IS.

hm....It seems as though you are more comfortable with your emotions, and more comfortable exploring "unknown territory" emotionally than your mom is, as though she doesn't know how to deal with emotional issues, while you embrace your emotions, even when they are very deep, and perhaps have a communication issue with your mom because of it....
