and found it absolutely horrible. I was on vacation to Osoyoos and that was very nice, and the drive up the lake was too, but Kelowna was a bust. Does anyone else who's been there feel that way?

The main problem with Kelowna is that it is all sub and no urb. It is like several square miles of Mississauga or Laval or Richmond or Nepean packaged up in a box and mailed out to the BC interior. People go there to study what happens in the absence of any meaningful urban planning. The best that can be said is that the climate is pretty benign and the downtown art district has improved matters, not least of all thanks to an excellent director of the Kelowna Art Gallery which is justly well regarded.

It only has certain attractions. The beach, wineries, golfing, fruit and then skiing in the winter. That is enough to keep them busy with tourists. So if you aren't into any of those, you might wanna go somewhere else. It is more of the place people from Vancouver go to get away from the big city. AND I am pretty sure the weather didn't cooperate last weekend. So that wouldn't help given they are mostly known for sun and outdoor stuff.

I haven't ever regretted a trip to Kelowna, but I only get there maybe once every 5 years or so. lol - But I do enjoy heading to Vancouver a couple times a year or more. Go Canucks!
