In Ontario it doesn't matter what you took your test in, standard, automatic, CVT, etc. Same for buses and trucks.

Driving Licence is for class of vehicle not transmission type. You should have an experience driver show you how to drive a standard though. It requires a certain level of concentration and in a pressure stress situation you may experience problems operating a standard.

Driver's licencing is a provincially regulated service. Just visit your province's government web site.
