I am going to an wedding in early October. Is it okay to wear a halter dress? It wraps around my neck.

You should not wear anything that is going to take attention away from the bride. Isn't October a little chilly for a halter dress? I would pick something else.

Church weddings are usually conservative and no one should draw attention away from the bride on her special day. October is a bit late in the year for a halter dress unless the wedding is being held in the evening .

I dont think the STYLE of dress really matters... unless there is something specified... some weddings specify "black tie attire" meaning long formal gowns... but the neck-line really has nothing to do with it. Just dont wear white!

Depends on where you live. Maybe take a shawl or a really big scarf in case it gets chilly. Some churches frown on bare shoulders during a church service, so that might be something to think about, too. Ask the bride.

Yes. You can wear anything you want that is is nice as long as you don't wear white. That is the brides job and it is after labor day.....
