I happened to be doing sexual things with my best friend (I'm a girl and he's a guy if that makes any difference). It wasn't awkward in the dream but when I think about it when I'm awake it's very awkward. I'm only a sophomore in high school and I don't want to have sex until I'm married so I don't even have any interest in it yet. I've felt that I like him more than a friend for almost a year now but that doesn't mean I want to have sex with him. The thing is that my best friend and I haven't seen each other for a while now until two weeks ago and ever since then things have been really different between us. It seems like he doesn't like me as a friend anymore and we've grown apart so much (we were practically inseperable two months ago). He doesn't have a girlfriend or anything like that, but I was just wondering if my dream was some sort of sign to me?

By 'sign' I don't mean a sign of him liking me, I mean a sign of the negative changes between us.

And thanks for all the help so far!

I'm no dream expert, but it seems pretty straight forward to me. The sex part seems to just show how strongly you want your friend to be your boyfriend, or some sort of more-than-friends kind of affection. But if you want to be optimistic, it could be that sex is a forecast of you two eventually getting together as a couple. Good luck finding an answer.

Well, one of the nice things about dreams is that you can play out sexual issues without worrying about getting pregnant or something! Even though you don't want to have sex until you are married, that doesn't mean that you don't have sexual feelings. Every body does, we just make choices whether to play them out in our waking lives or not, in dreams we are less inhibited, and it is perfectly normal for you to have these feelings, even if you don't want to express them fully until the time is right. As you and your friend are getting older though, it's possible that some sexual tension is forming between you, and that may have something to do with why you don't see each other as much, and also something to do with why you feel awkward around him, as you would like for him to continue being your friend, but one or both of you may be experiencing feelings that don't fall into the category of mere friendship, and this could be making things awkward for you... it's possible you are attracted to him as more than a friend, but as you said, that doesn't mean you want to have sex with him, or at least not yet, but it can make things a bit awkward when a friendship starts to feel like more than that, give it some time....

You are moving through puberty and your estrogen hormones are triggering the mating instinct. It is only natural that you would work out these new feelings with your best friend in the Dream State. However, he too is probably feel these awakenings; as testosterone begins soaring through his glands, and he is embarrassed and just as confused as you are. Try and keep in mind that as boys become men, they are easily spooked and become shy, until they know what they are doing. Also, he probably feels that you are more of a sister than a romantic partner.

dreams are symbols that are created in our sub=conscious that help us deal with problems in our every day life that we cannot handle during the awake state. could there be feelings between the two of you. yes, there could be. are you projecting the furture?NO. dreams only deal with the past and the present they cannot fortell the future. you are probably only seeing on your dreams what you want the future to be and not necessarily what the future realyy is going to be.

You attracted to him. It's not a sign. It's just a picture of your own mind- the parts you're afraid to be honest with yourself about.

What exactly do you mean by "sexual things"?
