You don't realize how lucky you are that it wasn't a gay cat that stretched you.

California educational system at work. The stray cat scratched you....I assume.

Clean it well with soap and water and use some antibacterial product such as Bactine, or Neosporin on the cut. Keep an eye on it. Nothing should happen other than a little bit of swelling, redness and itching, which should disappear within a couple of days. If you develop a fever, however, see a doctor.

As for the cat itself, you can call animal control to come pick it up. If its one of the neighbor's pets they will claim it once they realize its missing.

Just put some peroxide on the scratch or some neosporine ointment and don't worry about it. A scratch won't hurt you. If the cat is just hanging out, leave it alone. It will eventually wonder on. Maybe that cat is coming over to visit your inside cat. Just ignore it. You could give it a bite to eat and it probably would not scratch you. Quit trying to abuse it too, that might prevent you from getting hurt.

I think you are telling us that the cat scratched you - is that right? Make sure to keep an eye on the scratch to make sure it doesn't become infected. If it does, see a doctor right away.
