Deep Fried Dill Pickles

"Delicious dill pickles that are battered then fried. This recipe also works well with other pickled vegetables, like pickled peppers."

INGREDIENTS
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon vinegar-based hot pepper sauce
3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup cornmeal
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (32 ounce) jar dill pickle slices
1 cup vegetable oil for deep frying
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, combine 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of the flour, buttermilk, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, cayenne pepper, seasoning salt and garlic powder.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, 2 cups flour, salt and 3/4 teaspoon black pepper.
Preheat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 365 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Dip drained pickles into milk mixture and then dredge them in the flour mixture. Deep fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Salt and pepper to taste

easiest would probably be tempura batter: Beat an egg in a bowl. Add one cup of ice water in the bowl. Be sure to use very cold water. Add sifted flour in the bowl and mix lightly. Be careful not to overmix the batter. You can add some seasoning to the batter (salt/cajun spice/whatever you like) Most ppl like to use spears when they do fried pickles but personally I like taking slices (hamburger style) and making them that way.

This is one my girlfriend makes...

Buy eggroll pastry shells, cream cheese, sliced ham (cold cuts) and pickles.

Lay out the eggroll pastry, and spead a generous portion of cream cheese on it. Then a thin layer (one slice) of ham. Then, the pickle. Wrap it like an eggroll (or burrito) and fry in the vegetable or olive oil until golden brown.

They are very good, but very rich and fattening, so they should be a special treat.

very easy...i like the spears though....flour for dredging...buttermilk........then flour.
1 cup flour...seasoned with seasoned salt and pepper
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups oil for frying

first you dredge your pickle thru the flour then in the buttermilk..then in the flour again..then into 350 degree oil till brown..turning occasionally...drain on paper towels...salt lightly when hot...enjoy!!!

hmmmmmmmm

I would do it like this:

get a dill pickle

make some batter

flour , then egg, use that broken one, then some cornmeal or cornstarch, blue corn is always best

then one copper nail in each side of that pickle

then get a plug, strip the wires, attach to the nails, then plug it in , to house power
