If I was doing your A level marking for questions such as this, the first three answers have FAILED! that is to say NIL each. And to see each got about 15 T Ups each means that there are a lot out there who would fail too. It says Lord and Master in charge of a puppet. Who cares what the puppet thinks?

You are correct, but they won't agree.

Satan is such a good master of disguise that he has been able to convince people he doesn't exist at all.

Isn't it funny how many atheists just jumped on this question and started saying that God doesn't exist therefore Satan doesn't exist. Isn't that what Satan would want?

Just because atheists do not believe that God and Satan do not exist does not mean that they don't exist. So, the question is still vaild. By not worshipping God, people therefore tacitly worship Satan and do his work.

----------------

Lilith - God is not a master of disguise. He may be invisible to those who close their minds to His existence. Basic biology and the laws of the Universe both scream 'design' and 'creation', yet the existence of a God is an anathama to hard-nosed atheists so they refuse to accept the facts. They also gloss over all the gaping holes in their theories. All this while claiming to have an objective mind.

God may be invisible, but so is the wind. You can see the effects of the wind and you can see evidence of a creator if you just look. The Bible also contains clear evidence of inspiration. No atheist has ever been able to show me an example of the Bible contradicting itself. When an atheist says the Bible contradicts itself this is purley because they have misunderstood something of because they haven't bothered to read the Bible at all and do the necessary research.

I would encourage an honest-hearted study of the Bible.

---------------

K Marx iii - All I meant by 'Satan convincing people he doesn't exist' is that he has benefitted from himself being cartoonised and by the rising popularity of atheism. As people have repeated here ad nauseam, to disbelieve in God means also to disbelieve in a Devil.

It does not help when even religious leaders come out and say that the Bible is allegory. This lessens the impact that the Bibles message has. Then there is all the religious confusion - many faiths teaching different things. Also, the many wars carried out in the name of religion turn people away from God and a belief that Satan is real.

I wasn't implying that Satan literally says to atheists: "I don't exist, keep it a secret!"

--------------------

Dr. Strange - Why are you telling the aker to read the Bible regarding Cain and Abel when you yourself clearly haven't read it?

The Bible tells us that Adam and Eve had 'sons and daughters'. Cain married a sister or a cousin.

It would also seem that the only reason an atheist would lurk in R&S is to insult other people's intelligence. Atheists should take as good as they give.

Well, since you tell me that there is no way I could tell whether I was under the control of Satan or not, then why the hell should I care? I'm 59 years old; I've had a wonderful life up to now; I have family I love and am close to; I have friends; I have music. If that's being under the control of Satan, then I don't mind. Let me also add that you asked a question that is akin to "when did you stop beating your wife?" You just wanted to make some kind of stupid point which is that ATHEISTS ARE UNDER SATAN'S CONTROL! But you never said what should be done about it, did you? What should be done about it, oh wise one?

As an atheist I don't think Satan is controlling me. This is for 2 reasons:

1) I don't believe Satan exists

2) If he was controlling me would I be living the life I'm living? I don't hurt people, I try to be good and kind. Surely if I were under Satan's control wouldn't I be going out and killing people and stealing and generally being evil?

This is the kind of logic that makes atheists annoyed with religion.

You don't see any problem with the idea that if you disagree with what you're told, that means you're being controlled by an evil, invisible demon. Free Will is not allowed under this set up.

What's to stop Satan from letting you think you're following god? This way you're following his command and you don't even try to question it. He'd win no matter what.

And it's ironic that you use term mind-control as that's exactly what you've fallen under. Telling you exactly what to believe and not allowing you to think for yourself or challenge anything you're told is mind-control in the worst way.

2007-09-04 12:06:29 · answer #4 · answered by Anonymous · 1 0

Atheists do not believe in ANY God.

They are controlled by no one. They don't need anyone's permission to do anything. They are their own masters.

(I hope I am correct in this assessment.)

You are insulting them when you say that Satan is their god.
That is totally false.

But the same could be said for any religion, that believes in Satan, Lucifer or the Devil. How do you know that each time you pray that you are not praying to Satan.
Paul warned of the "counterfeit Christianity", which was at work when He wrote his verses.
So maybe you should make sure your prays are aimed at the right deity?

And why is Karl Marx interested in religion?

I am not Religious, I am not Atheist, I am just me.

so taking mind altering drugs is OK is it? and the only one who is off their rocker is you gain some perspective on reality or prove god exists!

being insulted I'm not insulted, I'm annoyed but not insulted and trying to insult people is very christian, loving and with the teachings in the bible

you need to know reality before you can talk about it

correct me if I'm wrong but are you saying atheists are devil worshippers because they don't believe

that's really telling it as it is?

actually if you aren't a christian what are you because Muslims and Jews know what a Satan is (translates as accuser) so you are a Satan with your 1 friend in almost 3 months of 360 did you accuse them too often???

You're not being logical. Atheists don't blame God for all the bad in the world, because atheists don't believe in God (or Satan). You can't assign blame to something you don't believe exists. Atheists don't blame religion for ALL the problems in the world, they merely point out that religion has created MANY problems. In reality, atheists blame human beings for the world's difficulties, and religion, like all other earthly institutions, was created by human beings.

To believe in 'Satan' you must have a belief, (religion), therefore you are not an 'Atheist'.
You need to understand what 'Atheism' is before you post such stupid and uninformed questions!!!

I am really happy with the support of fellow intelligent members, (and may I add, have you seen how many of them have orange badges), on the subject of Atheism, and not being unintelligent, follow the herd, sheep!!!

And I notice your ID is a recognition of Karl Marx, communist, and evil dictator, and certainly not a believer in god.
What drugs are you on, you delusional idiot!!!

To extrapolate your question, that means that you too could be under the control of this force you call 'Satan'.

Who is to say that we aren't all under the same influence?

There is no proof of 'Satan', just as there is no proof of any 'god'. None of us 'know' - we just use different techniques in understanding what we perceive to be 'true'. The believer uses faith; the non-believer uses logic.

I cannot say with absolute certainty that my beliefs are true, just as you cannot say with absolute certainty that your beliefs are true.

An atheist
