I'm sure many will if we somehow solve the problem before we face catastrophic climate change. Deniers will say it was all trumped up just as they claim was the case with Y2K and the hole in the ozone layer. After all, that's the essence of denial.

The question is moot. All sides in this debate will be dead before the problem is solved.
If the problem is solved quickly with a nuclear war (nuclear winter and a drastic reduction in industry) most of us will be dead.
CO2 has a residence time in the atmosphere of at least 100 years http://www.manicore.com/anglais/documentation_a/greenhouse/greenhouse_gas.html and the heat capacity of the oceans ensures that the effect will last longer. Even if a solution were implemented globally tomorrow (it won't be), the effects of human activity over the last 100 years will persist for more than a century. None of us will live that long.

An Ozone hole cannot occur. The gasses in the atmosphere, immediately are transformed into ozone when exposed to UV rays. Unless the Sun has been sleeping, the hole was not real.
Global warming has all but been solved, when a blogger noted a simple mathematical mistake with NASA's calculations thought to reveal that global warming is man made.
The new calculations (which weren't exactly advertised) now rank 1934 in place of 1998, as the hottest year on record. This is well before humans could have possibly destroyed the Earth.
What do we do now?

I think it's more lilkely they'll claim never to have denied it in the first place.
The number of deniers is rapidly diminishing but it's rare to find anyone who admits to having been a denier and has now changed their minds. Even some high profile people who publicly spoke out against manmade global warming are now furiously back-pedalling. In an attempt to save face they're claiming things like it was media distortion etc.
Pull up some questions on this forum from say 12 months ago, you'll find people there that denied global warming but now accept it, somewhat hypocritically they now condemn the current deniers.

Nope.
The 'doom sayers' will just find something else to try and scare us with.
A generated 'state of fear' in the people is a great way for governments to control the people.
Since the 'cold war' ended, they have had to find something else to make the people afraid!! Ozone holes, oil depletion, global warming, etc.

Your examples about Y2K and ozone are great. "It's just like Y2K" is heard commonly here. As if Y2K wasn't a real problem that required many thousands of hours of programming to fix. Or the ozone hole is cited as if it never occurred or cured itself, when in reality all we've done so far is stop its' growth.
So, if they're true to form, the deniers will be saying "See, it wasn't a problem", ignoring all that was done to solve it.
And, proof of mostly man made global warming:

If global warming doesn't happen, you can all say your actions solved the global warming problem. If global warming does happen, you can point the fingers at all that don't believe you and say we haven't done enough. You can ride the cycles either way and come up on top.
And you can keep using the same trick over and over again. When we solve the problem for a few years we can always look forward to the next wave when global warming comes up again

it has been solved. The earth is going through a natural cycle like it has for millions of years.

If that happens, I think they would pretend they never denied it. It would be like all the people that were on board with the Iraq war before it turned bad (*cough*hillaryclinton*cough*).

You should first prove that any warming is caused by man rather then just believing it is.
There's no such thing as a static climate. The Earth has warmed and cooled many times in the past before man could ever be a factor.
