follow the regular cake directions, just don't add baking powder because it's already in the self rising flour.

To make self-rising flour from regular flour you take 1 cup regular flour plus 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt. So for your banana cake recipe - for every cup of self rising flour you have, subtract 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt from your recipe.

Hope that helps.

Follow the recipe directions as usual but do not add baking powder or soda or salt because it is already in the flour.

I use self-rising flour in all my baking unless the recipe calls for cake flour.
