I just saw B.J. Thomas in concert over the labor day weekend and was wondering if any of you have heard his Gospel music? B.J.'s songs are so positive anyway, but when he did the gospel songs, they were fantastic! Have any of you heard his gospel music and also, what is the best shopping site to order CD's from?

Grendel---he had a string of hits "back in the day". LOL! As well as a couple of Gold records, Platinums, and was the only artist ever to be awarded Country, Pop, and Dove awards at the same time.

itchianna---I thought about trying to find a CD at a Christian bookstore but the closest one to me is about an hour away. I'll probably just order from an online store... I just don't know which one is best.

I have a couple of his albums, and heard him on the radio before he started singing Gospel, and yes, his music is great!
I just hope that he is singing gospel for the message, and not for the money.

Yes, I remember him well. he was very popular in the 1970's when I was in my 20's. I did listen to some of his gospel music and did enjoy them, but I like his secular songs better.
I did not attend this concert in person, but did watch it on video. My favorite concert of his was the one that Henry Winkler was sitting in the audience and he got Henry up and asked him to sing with him and when Henry acted shy B.J told him to do it they way Fonzie would do and it was great.

I grew up with B.J. Thomas, but have never heard his Gospel music. If it is half as good as the music I heard growing up, I'm sure that it is just wonderful.

Sure,he had two or three hit singles in the late '60's. I've always wondered what became of him. "Raindrops Keep falling on My head" was his big #1. I though he was pretty good,if a little corny.

Yes, I remember. I even remember some of his stuff BEFORE he started doing gospel.

Yes I do. He played basketball at the University of Kansas about 10 years ago. Hell of a 3-point shooter.
