Anthropologists discovered that a Voo Doo shaman can kill a person simply by pointing a needle in his direction and loudly chanting a curse. It was discovered that the foreign anthropologists were not affected by the Voo Doo shamans curse because they did not believe in Voo Doo and this lack of belief actually protected them. That's the wonder of the rational mind over belief in authority.

So consider this whole global warming to be a giant scare tactic that is being conducted by Voo Doo politicians to keep you in a constant STATE OF FEAR for their own malicious purposes.

You don't have to accept consensus reality. You can think for yourself and be free!

Global warming is a slow and progressive process, the changes from one year to the next are very small. For all intents and purposes the world will be pretty much as it is now in 5 years time.

Think back to 2002 and compare how global warming has changed things in the last five years - not a great deal, the same sort of changes will occur in the next five years.

As has been mentioned, the significance of 2012 is that it's when the Mayan Calendar ends, I think the exact date is Dec 21st 2012 (check this as I'm going from memory). The Mayan's were an ancient civilisation, very advanced for their time and great astronomers, mathematicians etc but their understanding of the world was far short of ours. Their calendar starts just 6000 years ago (the world is 4.5 billion years old) so they're a long way out with their start date.

There's always people foretelling the end of the world, it should have ended last year on 06-06-06 (666 supposedly being the number of the Beast - it's actually 616 but that didn't matter to the doom-sayers).

There's really nothing to worry about.

A grassroot level initiative U-SEE - Unlimited Savings of Electrical Energy which gives to the world how we can stop misuse of electricity during day time when the sun is shining. My idea revolves around "bring home the sunshine" and "get moonlight from sunlight". Have a look at the following World Bank link and let me know if you want more details. The idea is a child's play and is so simple but saves billions of units of costly electricity and also reduces over exploitation of the natural resources like oil, coal, water and also reduces global warming from stopping burning of bulbs.

Just ignore your neighbor. The idea that the world will end in 2012 is some nonsense to do with the Mayan calender. The myth came about because the Mayan calender just happens to end in the year 2012 C.E. Somehow that got turned into predictions of the end times. Load of rubbish if you ask me.

There is certainly not any dire consequences predicted by global warming in 2012. The only predicted thing I know of that could be bad around that time is the peak of solar cycle 24. One group of scientists predict that it could be very powerful and could unleash a powerfull solar flare that could severely damage our technology, that's probably remote, but it is science.

Calm down, we are not all going to die in 4 years due to Global Warming. It's more like 30 to 40 years that is if we don't slow the effects back down to its natural cycle by then.

But to find out CHEAP and EFFECTIVE ways (capitalization is only there for all of the naysayer) to reduce your carbon footprint then go to think.mtv.com and climatecrisis.org and http://liveearth.msn.com/green/myths

(And don't listen to all of those idiots who say that we aren't accelerating the effects of Global Warming and that we can't do anything to slow it back down, because it's the complete opposite)
