You can get a free copy of your credit report from each of the 3 credit bureaus from AnnualCreditReport.com. That's the only place that won't require you sign up for monitoring services to get a free report.

You will have to pay to get your score ($5 to $8). There isn't any place to get your score for free.

Under federal law, you are entitled to at least one free credit report each year. Contact Equifax, Transamerica or any of the other major reporting agencies at their websites.
