putting it in the fridge won't make it lose caffine, but it's not going to tqste as good. try what id do......... i set everything up the night before. i measure the coffe, put it in the machine, fill it with water. when you get up in the morning, just hit the on button on your way to the bathroom. it'll be done in just a few minutes.

Fill your coffee pot with water and coffee the night before. Then when you get up, plug the pot in and start it brewing. By the time you're dressed and have your teeth brushed, the coffee should be done and you can put it in a thermos. Better yet, get one of those coffee pots that have an automatic timer, and set it for 15 minutes before you get out of bed. It will be ready before you are.

However, if you don't mind the taste of cold coffee that has sat in the fridge for ten hours, your method is probably best for you. My husband likes his coffee cold after it has sat most of the day -- whatever is left over in the pot that's brewed in the morning. I say to each his own. As far as I'm concerned, any coffee that is older than 15 minutes is rot gut. And it has to be hot enough to burn my tongue.

Don't try storing it in the fridge. That is the worst place for your coffee. It's just not cold enough to prevent your coffee from going stale. With all the other foods in your fridge, your coffee is likely to pick up flavors and odors too. That's just not good. I know you said you didn't care about the taste, but trust me, it'll be really foul tasting. Put it in the freezer in a sealed container, it'll stay good longer too that way, it'll keep for about a week and you can microwave it if you want hot coffee.
