I think that it is great, Joe Gibbs racing dose not have the money that Hendricks have, now they will have Toyota's money to back them up, I love Hendricks, and I wish them the best but I think that maybe not next year, or maybe not the next year they will shine, and who else to do it but the 3 talented drivers that they have, Toyota made a big mistake by starting with Waltrip, the man is useless, and he has always and always will suck, Joe Gibbs racing is a good team they really care about what their drivers think, and they really care about all their employees, so good luck Gibbs boys, I think you'll be a Great team and you will be the first team to shine for Toyota!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toyota has proved successful in every single racing endeavor the company has undertaken and Nextel Cup racing shall be no exception. The signing of NASCAR's Gibbs Motorsports is a serious stamp of validation to a manufacturer that picked in my opinion the worst possible year to enter NASCAR. I say this because they had to build both "today's car" and the "car of tomorrow". With a powerhouse like Gibbs on board, the sand is flowing through the Championship hourglass at lightning speed.

I think it's going to help Toyota a lot more than it's going to hurt Gibbs. Remember: all of the Toyota teams are new this year, except BDR, which had a hard time competing with their Dodges last year.
So, all Toyota has had representing them so far, are upstarts, has-beens & never-wases.
With the resources at JGR behind them, don't be surprised to see Toyotas running top-10 with consistency next season.

You know, it is funny Reading all these ignorant responses, with no facts...just good ole, Confederate Opinions. Toyota wins championship with Gibbs by 2010, mark my words. I am all about American too, I won't drive no Japanese car neither, however recognize power when it's there...Toyota is making power, and just because a couple of low end has been, could not make it happen, you will see how it goes when Hamlin, Stewart, and Busch are behind the wheel...remember the truck series people...who is it dominated by again....GM, Ford, and Dodge better step up their friggin game, before they get steamed.

It will be a great thing for Toyota but I don't know that it will be the best thing for Gibbs and Tony Stewart. I believe if anyone can have a winning team with Toyota it will be with Gibbs.

I don't agree with it only because the Toyota cars have not proven to be better than anything else. I would like to know the reasoning behind it. I am curious to see how a good team of crew and drivers handle the Toyotas but I don't have much faith in them at all.

This company is a joke. All they make is **** boxes that have 130 hp and battery cars. Their highest hp car engine is 266 hp and their truck engine is way overrated. Now they think they can slap a Camry symbol on a stock car and every dumbass soccer mom will buy a pussy sienna. Now gibbs moves to them because joe is a greedy bastard who only likes money. Seriously, after the last race, all the manufacturers should run a stock car race with their best car. Toyota would finish 20 laps down. Oh yeah, I'm a Yank, not a confederate.

Well I guess I need to be more educated on the topic. I still feel like a rookie when it comes to this . My initial reaction is to not want to accept the Toyotas because I keep hearing the same thing, "Keep it American" but you make some valid points, so I guess I'll have to think about this a little more!
Thanks for the thought.

Maybe Gibbs will go to Toyota. Busch will follow. Stewart may follow Gibbs, BUT, will Home Depot follow Stewart?? Doubtful they will want to deal with the backlash.
