No, I wouldn't consider you "fat". Your Body Mass Index is around 26, which means you are slightly overweight. If you lost only 5-10lbs you would be at a healthier weight.

Don't worry about how much you weight (even though I know it's hard not to at 17!). Try to focus on how healthy you are and taking good care of yourself. Just exercise 30 minutes a day and eat better and you WILL lose weight.

Technically, that is a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 26.2, which is considered "overweight". But there are other factors to consider. Does heavier weight run in your family? You may have been exercising more, replacing body fat with muscle; since muslce weighs more than fat, you are actually gaining weight, even though you are becoming healthier from the exercise.

Your best bet is to talk to your family doctor, who can recommend a dietician and any lifestyle changes if necessary.

Your BMI is 26.2, which is considered slightly overweight for an adult. For a 17-year-old girl, it is a bit more than slightly overweight. Go to http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html and type in your statistics. That's the best site for giving you an accurate picture of where you are. Kids' and teens' BMI ranges are different from those of adults. Play with the weight number until you get the BMI into the safe range, and you'll have a target for weight loss.

A bit overweight, maybe. But not fat. But you don't need to be 110. You would probably look great at 125.

No your healthy, your BMI is on the top scale of a healthy weight. You could lose 5-10 lbs considering your height. But generally your healthy. Not fat nor chubby and not skinny. Inbetween! That's cool!

It's really only your waist measurement that's the issue. For your height, it shouldn't be over 31 inches. So if you get down to about 130lb, this should be sufficient to bring your waist measurement down.
