Try not to leave your boxer in the heat ... If you have to, get a dog house and chain her up close to her dog house and put a bowl with bottle one inside her dog house (during heat wave) ... and another one outside near her dog house so she can have a way to get to both water bowls ...

Be sure the dog house is in the mostly shaded area ...

You can try and get your dog be housebroken and be able to stay indoors with a/c during the heat wave ...

For right now, get her to the vet to be sure she's okay ... Just a simple check up ... And as well give her a little bit of water little by little so she won't drink so much water and throw up ...

Hope your dog is alright ...

First thing, get your pup to a vet. They will give her fluids to get her re-hydrated.
Have you ever though of throwing the chain away? Maybe fencing your yard and putting in a dog door so she can stay in the house? Or just leaving her in the house? If you leave her in the house you may have some messes to clean up when you get home. But isn't that better than having her get sick and maybe die?
I have four that live with me, a dog door so they can go in and out as they please.

Well, as you just found out, chains can KILL your dog. Also, they cause serious aggression issues because the dog can be tormented and teased at the end of the chain and never be able to run away or confront the issue. If you must keep your dog outside, build a dog run with a roof. If you shop carefully, you can build one for under $300.

she probably drank too much too fast. let her drink more as needed. was this all day or a few days? if the drinking & vomiting continue, i'd contact the vet to see if she does need to come in. my dog drinks water too fast & a lot of it & vomits after the dog park.
in the future, if you must leave her outside, you need to put the water bowl closer to her just in case she gets tangled again. maybe think about a dog house or even a tarp up in some trees so she has shade.

No, she's not okay she's experiencing pitting which happens with severe dehydration. You need to take her to the vet. Don't ever leave her out there like that again. This is really bad you need to get her to the vet!

you need to get her checked out, most likely she will need an IV. Don't leave your dog out when its hot, unless there is plenty of water and shade for her to go. even then its not the best thing to do.

how would you like to be chained up for hours with no water. Please don't chain your dog up, and leave her in your house instead. I have a rat terrier, and a jack Russell, and they are fine inside my house , until I get home.

If she is dehydrated enough to have skin tightness, she needs to go to the vet, and quickly.

Where did you learn how to take care of your dog? The Michael Vick obedience school?
