We live in different towns because of college, but I travel 7 hours every weekend to see her. This past weekend she left me, saying that she has too much trouble for a relationship and feeling guilty about me putting so much effort into the relationship while she is not doing the same. The troubles that she is talking about is her mother's sickness. She has cancer, and it has gotten really serious lately. I know that she is going through really hard times, but why has she dumped me if I was only helping and supporting her? She also said that she wants a relationship with me when she gets over her problems, but I am really confused because if she still wants to be with me, why is she leaving me? I love this girl and I am willing to wait, but I don't want to live in an illusion. What should I do? What can I expect? Does she really wants a relationship with me or she is saying that just to be nice to me?

The reason this is complicated is that you don't specify how you support her. I mean are you just going there on the weekends playing kissie, kissie, or do you go there and help her with her mothers problem? If you catch my drift. WOULD be hard for me to believe if you really help out with the sick mother that she would cut you out, now if you were just trying to make her ALL happy with romance I can see why she would cut you out. Its not true love buddy, true love would be that her mothers problem is yours, but again you didn't specify so I can only ASSUME thats whats going on....
