Let's assume that "a" God created the universe. this takes all of the science arguments out of play.
What makes your God or Goddess prevail over someone elses belief?
Knowing that all books are written by man and then claimed to be "inspired".
What makes your holy book more prevailent than any other that makes the claim?
And for the religions that make the claim of sole "truth"
Why is faith more important than what we can investigate (see, touch, smell, hear.) when there are so many choices?
What makes your faith the "clear" choice?

I am going to leave this question up a little longer. Looks Like Bo-Dean is the only one who will tackle this. Fear stops those who are unsure.

1-Scientific theories are always evolving, so many theories that were "in play" 50 years ago are no longer even taught (except for recapitulation, which has been disproven over and over again yet it is still in a lot of high school textbooks. Go figure!) So, even science takes science out of the argument.
It's my firm belief that science (that is, what can be observed and not just imagined) is proving the Bible right more and more. The list of disagreements between science and scripture is shrinking, not growing.
2-Truth is what it is, regardless of how you or I feel or believe about it.
3-For me, the strict guidelines set down by the ancient Hebrews for translating and transliterating the Old Testament
(and some vilotaions of these guidelines held the punishment of death!) indicate that it retains a lot of integrity. Many questions about the credibility of the Old Testament were laid to rest by the Dead Sea scrolls.
And, the manuscript evidence for the New testament is many times stronger than any other work of ancient literature...including Plato, Socrates, Erastates, Tacitus, Pliny the younger.
4-Faith is not more important than what we can investigate. Faith (or lack of it) is the result of what is discovered in the investigation. I believe in God and Christ partly because of what I have seen in my life, others lives, and the universe around me.
5-For me, what seperates Christianity from others is that it specifically deals with the problem of evil as part of man's nature. Instead of denying it or claiming it does not exist, it deals specifically with the results of evil and the solution.
Also, all other religions talk about what man must do for his own redemption. Christianity tells of what God did for us, even though we didn't deserve it.
1 thought for you: It's commonly held that the 4 elements needed to create life are time, force, action and matter. Well, Genesis 1:1 says "In the beginning (time) God (force) created (action) the heavens and the earth (matter.)

OK, this is four questions. Not fair.
I have no idea what you mean when you say "this takes all the science arguments out of play". Out of play of what? What on earth are you talking about?
No actual discovery of science thus far has posed a necessary conflict with any Christian belief. Note that I said "discovery", because some of the teachings of modern scientists are theories and not discoveries. These theories themselves may well end up being abandoned in the future, for better ones, as a result of future discoveries.
But actual discoveries, things that scientists have actually proven to be true, such as the rate of acceleration of objects falling to earth, the periodic table of the elements, the magnetic fields of the earth's poles, none of these harms the Christian faith even a tiny bit.
Your question, why is faith more important than what we can investigate: Again, you don't have to make a choice between the two. There are a lot of scientists who are Christians.

You will not get an intelligent answer that affirms any particular religion as the only true one; if you do I will immediately join up to whatever it is.
Unfortunately your question is so well put that it will scare off any serious attempt to promote, for example, Christianity.
