Did anyone actually say "liquidate terrorsts," or are you just playing with the word "liberate?"
People join the army for many reasons. Some because they believe our country's leaders are right, and we need to continually show military strength to protect ourselves. Some because it's the only way they'll be able to afford a college education. I doubt that many joined to "liberate" anybody--or, hopefully, to liquidate anybody. But I could be wrong.

As September 11th approaches I can't believe anyone would ask a question like this.
Guess what? We're not fighting the Iraqis, we're fighting the Al Quada insurgents that are in Iraq. Yes we initially went in under the assumption that there were weapons of mass destruction but once the insurgents came in we couldn't just leave them there to foster a more horrible government than what they had under Sadam.
Do I want to "Liquidate Terrorists"? S*** Yea I do. How easy it is for Americans to forget the tragedy that befell our awesome country.
I hope you have a wonderful September 11th on your mountain bike.

If you can't understand why other people join the military or haven't got the guts to do it yourself and sacrifice several years of your life defending people who despise you for defending them, you've no business putting them down.
Oh--and mountain bikes use oil, too. Chain grease, ball bearing grease, shock lubricant--take your pick. All the plastics on the bike are developed from oils. As someone who worked as a mountain bike mechanic for five years, I find this argument highly amusing.
In any case, neither the Iraq war nor the Afghanistan war are nor have ever been about "oil", regardless of the mindless regurgitations you hear from the TV and your favorite politicians. The only people who believe that are people who deliberately choose to remain ignorant of what's really going on over there--and choose to ignore actual veterans of this war, like myself, who try and try again to correct this deliberate ignorance.

Ghost - Great that you enjoy mountain biking. The reason that you are able to do that is because of the many members of our Armed Forces who have fought for our country and its freedoms throughout history.
Give peace a chance? Sounds nice. But, how do you make peace with militant terrorists who have vowed to kill every American on the face of the earth? I, for one, am not willing to take a chance that they will have a change of heart. I am proud of the efforts of the US in Iraq.

Ghost, if you want to give peace a chance, why don't you offer a practicable alternative that doesn't include a stupid button one-liner? Get a degree in psychology, get a few thousand colleagues together and go to the world's more troubled regions to hold anger management sessions for mobs there. Yeah. Maybe THAT will work.

Good for you and your mountain bike. Do you grow your own food, make your own cloths, and use nothing made from plastic? If not then you still use oil.
