The only thing a 40 yr old guy wants from an 18 yr old girl is sex. That and he wants to show her off to his friends the same way he would show off a new sports car.
Its legal so its up to you. You are just at a totally different place at 40 then you are at 18, so there is no common ground. If you want meaningless sex from a 40 yr old guy, then go for it.

I thought it was funny that you said OLD men as opposed to saying oldER men. LOL! It's a huge age and maturity gap (whether you admit it or not). In my opinion it is "asking for trouble"
As far as it being acceptable to everyone else, well, we are not supposed to worry about what everyone else thinks, right?

Not the best idea.. after all he's been able to drink longer than you have been alive.
I don't think society sees that as being acceptable.
Its not ileagle.
I'd hold off on the 30+ guys until you were over 21.
