i took my ps3 to my cousins hosue and he gave me an hdmi cord for my birthday but when i left i took the ps3 with me and left the avi cord there hes 300 miles away i have power and an hdmi cord but no way to see whats going on because the video feed is through the avi i tryed doing it blindly hoping ti would work but i cant souloutions??? without going out to buy something

The ps3 is not set to HDMI video output...surely one of ur friends have a ps2 or even a ps3 so u could borrow their av cord and change the vid setting to hdmi on ur ps3.

you need the AV cable of the ps3 or if you have a ps2 the AV cable of your ps2 will be fine cause you need to set your video setting to HDMI before you can remove the AV cable.

Try holding the front power button till it bleeps. It'll reset the display settings to default, which should let you see what's going on.
