Is it wrong?

I was wondering if it was wrong for some one that is 15 (10th grade) to date some one that is around 11 or 12 (6th grade). I am just wondering. Please help me out here.

This questions is not for me. It is for a friend.

Oh no, not at all age don't matter when it comes to love. As long as your not 18 and he's younger then you because that's agenst the law, but if you fell like it then you can wait till he's 18 then date him again. That's the answer your pretty much looking for, only 3 or 4 years apart it's not that bad. My parents are 8 years apart and my dad's friend and the wife is about 9 or 10 years apart. It's normal you can date him unless you wanna wait till he becomes a teen so it won't sound to weird lol, but over all yes it's ok for your friend to date him tell her to go ahead. Really some guys like to date older women lol.

It is not neccessarily "wrong"....but it is not really appropriate either. At your age, a few years can make a major difference.....whereareas it will not matter when you get older.
Here the reasons:
Maturity: There is vast difference between how a 15 year old and an 11 year old think. Most 11's are still playing with toys and are still having recess. Most 15's are into music and "hanging out". They are starting to get sexually active too.....there is a reason why there is "sex ed" in high school and not in middle school. 11 year old children should not be dating anyway.
Sex: If the guy is older he will use his age to get sex out of the girl. Sometimes older guys go for younger girls just for that reason...because the younger girls are more likely to give it up under pressure. MANY girls have gotten pregnant that way. You CAN get pregnant even if you have not gotten your period. You CAN get pregnant using a condom....only 97% effective and they can and will break! You CAN and many girls DO get pregnant from pre-ejaculation ***. The guy will say this "Don't worry, I will pull out before hand." Then two months later your belly starts to swell and you have to take medication for the herpes he gave you. So if you are considering dating an older guy....hold off until you are older.
It is not a wise decision. Most older guys are not interested in younger girls for anything other than sex.
Friends: You are not going to be able to mix your friends. 11 year olds and 15 year olds don't mix. 15 year olds usually look at 11 year olds with disdain...thinking how much more grown-up they are and not wanting to hang out with them. You would need to choose his friends or your friends...because you would not be able to have it both ways. Then once you broke up, you would have no friends.

It is a little wrong, morally, but not illegal. Here's why I say it's wrong. The mental difference between someone age 11 and someone age 15 is huge. The 15 year old might be expecting things that the 11 year old is just not ready to give. And call me old-fashioned, but I don't think a 6th grader should be allowed to date, period. When I was a 6th grader, when we would "go out" with someone, all that meant was that sometimes we held hands with them on the school field trip or eat lunch at their table...nobody actually went out on a date anywhere.

Yes, something is wrong with that.The two age groups should or would have different interests. If my 6th grade daughter was interested in seeing a 10th grade boy, BIG RED FLAGS would come up, and I would not think it was ok at all, even dangerous.

I think it is very important to date someone your or close to your own age. The reason is that you will have more in common and will have more to relate to then just ABC's and 123's. Yes there is a problem there somewhere. Look ahead a little bit and answer this, When you get into the 12th grade would you want to take a 8th grader to the prom.

Yes, someone in 6th grade is way too young for a high school sophomore. You're just at very different places in your lives. That same age gap will be meaningless in about 6 years however.

The maturity levels between the two should be a gap large enough so that they wouldn't be a good match...that's the difference in high school and grade school (skipping jr. hi).

Besides, a 15 yr old is barely old enough to date (in groups) and a 11 or 12 yr old is still a few yrs from that...a child (not even a teen yet).

yes it is wrong you should be dating boys that are your own age not ones that are still playing gi joe. trust me it takes a long time for guys to grow up. unless you are the one in 6th grade and if so a 15 year old boy is only interested in 1 thing and its not math homework

Yes, at this point in your development, it is wrong. Years later that sort of age spread will mean nothing but right now it is huge. Also, 11&12 year olds should NOT be dating.
