the skin is over dried, apply a good moisturizer to the nostrils two or three times a day, should clear up.

Well it kind of depends on why you're getting them.

Is it from blowing your nose a lot? Taking care of allergies/colds can help prevent them from forming. Blowing or wiping your nose a lot can cause little sores to form around your nostrils -- I tend to get them at the very top of my nostril when I'm blowing my nose a lot. To help them heal, try putting a dab of vaseline or even chapstick on the sore spot to protect the area from further damage.

Do you live in a dry area? A humidifier can help keep things hydrated inside and out (it may also help with other dry skin issues).

Hope that helps! :)

I put a tiny bit of mentholatum in my nose when that happens to me. It clears up pretty quickly.
