Hey - look at the first bill and then you will know you have to open up and get some value out of it. When you realise what it is costing you - you will be on the mend and then - hey presto - you Will know you can both get better and save a heap of money by not going!!!

This is a curiously American phenomena and is found nowhere else in the world - makes you think surely!!!!

Tell your psychologist how you're feeling - I promise that he or she has heard it before. It isn't a contest - there is no good enough - the whole point is to talk and figure out, together, a way for you to deal with your symptoms. Nobody's symptoms are better than anyone else's. Each person has their own issues and some people have better resources to deal with them. If you're not sure what to say then the psychologist may ask you questions to help you open up easier. I am glad that, even though you're scared, you're taking the steps to improve your health - great work!

Just the fact that you are seeking some type of help is a good enough reason. And panic attacks definitely qualify.

For my first visit, I basically just had to answer a list of questions. He didn't expect me to elaborate or anything.

I see a therapist and panic attacks are a perfectly good reason to go. there is always a reason people have them, and if you're not sure what it is then talking to someone can really help.
all therapists and psychologists want you to open up but you can always say you don't know what to say, i mean they will try and help you talk rather than just sitting there staring at you!
good luck!

Don't be nervous or shy. Be honest with the Dr and everything will be alright.

They are the professionals, it is their job to get you to relax so you can talk about what is bothering you.
