People call him son of God and naturally he will be above human beings.

Wow thats the easiest 2 points I have ever made. Jesus is the most influential person that ever lived. So much so that the calendar changed in honor of His Birth. It is 2007 AD and the numbers go up prior to His Birth the numbers got smaller each year in the BC range. I would say that makes Him even more influential than even Bill Gates (who for many versions of Windows used the year it was released as the version name.

According to who? Forbes? I think they only look at bank accounts. Seriously, though, when I was a kid I had a poster with Jesus' face on it and an essay called "One Solitary Life." The last sentence says that all the armies that have ever marched, all the navies that were ever built, all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings who ever ruled have not affected man's life on this planet as much as that one solitary life. If one considers Jesus' humble beginnings, lack of formal education, and the only means of transportation were his feet, that final sentence really packs a punch. Unfortunately, many people who say they follow Jesus' example missed the boat by just a tad. Wars, inquisitions, etc. carried on in Jesus' name are inexcusable. What if everybody had actually listened to the message and gave it their best shot? Could have been very good.

There is a multitude of history that was written due to his influence since 2000 years ago. There are over a billion people who confess to follow his teachings. There are many major religions who are called after his name. The Bible is the most popular book in history. The story of his life has been read to most people on this entire earth.
I guess he must be pretty influential. John tells us that it would take great volumes of books to write down all his good deeds. You bet he is influential.

Jesus is the Son of God!!! Hello ppl!!

he was here since two thousand years ago, and two thousand years before that, and God knows how long before that.. for the bible says, in john 17:24, God loved him even before the world began..

God also loved us so much that he decided to give his one and only begotten son to suffer the most painful death..not one small inch of his body was not bruised and severely whipped and cut, over and over again.. the crucifixion was a lot worse..

he paid the full price to purchase us back so we can get salvation for free.. when you say salvation is free... think about it!! is it reli free?? its been paid with the most expensive price!!

if you look at the globe, is there a place where the name Jesus is not known? they are bound to have atleast heard of His name.. there are ofcourse some deserted places that have not heard of Him.. so duh~~ the most influential person in the world!! and will continue to be influential!

when the time comes where everyone has heard of him, beware!!

Jesus Christ is far above the listings made by smaller men. I often his name listed in the good books titles such as 100 Great Lives.

Jesus' most original idea was to "love thy enemy."

How many people here or anywhere love their enemies? And how long would they live if they did?

Jesus was and is the peg onto which you can hang virtually any ideas you want.

The Early Church took full advantage of this by destroying Jesus' own writings and reinventing or disappearing 90% of the history of his life.

What we have now, is not Jesus - but Corporate Jesus.

"One of the top...."? ....After 2000 years, His book, the Bible is still the highest seller on the book shelves...His influence still grows, everyday. More and more people ask Him into their hearts daily...People are still persecuted for believing in Him and yet they keep claiming Him as their Lord and Savior at the risk of losing their lives...and many have...He still answers prayer to those who love Him and obey His commandments.

Let me ask you who do you know that can top that?

If you see His influance on the world, I would say He would top the list. Last two thousand years of western history, he is everywhere. Old testament He is there too.

this is why Jesus said to his desciples " Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

so Jesus said But whom say ye that I am?

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for (PEOPLE) flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but (GOD) my Father which is in heaven.
- Who cares what people think about Jesus ? what do you think about him ? if everyone was jumping off a cliff would you do the same ? conformity is one thing that this world seems to love, and that is why they rejected Jesus - Mohammad was a mere man Born After Jesus christ, he claims that an angel told him all the things he needed to start his own religion - God said i am the way the truth and the life no man cometh to the father but by me, no one cometh before or after me. Mohammad didnt die for your sins, and im sure he is paying for his right now - he sys the gabriel came to him .... bs - God made mohammad, but God also made jesus, was jesus and came down inthe form of a child through a virgin to die for our sins just to prove it. just because mohammad influences people dosent mean he is right - Hitler influenced ALLOT of people to be his followers, and he didnt even HAVE blond hair and blue eyes, but he persuaded people to kill those that didnt have these features. whom do You say that he is ?
