I have the solution its called whey protein. You can buy a big container of it at walmart for 10 bucks. ANd buy the vanilla flavor the chocolate doesnt mix up and tastes horrible. I am slender but have a tendency in the summer to lose to much weight. I work in the yard alot and just burn off to many calories. I went to the health food store and asked them what to do. I was tired of trying to eat twice as much food of the most unhealthy crap loaded with lard and fat so that I didnt get under weight. And it still didnt work and was a uneven weight gain much less a heart attack special later on in life. He said whey protein it is a healthy way to keep your weight consistent and it builds muscle. Well ok I bought some (and the walmart brand is just as good as the expensive herbal store kind). I mixed a couple of sccops in a glass of whole milk took the lazy way out using a fork as a blender and then guzzled it down. Not too bad. Withing 3 days my weight was coming back on and it was a even weight gain all over not just 3 pounds all to my thighs or gut. And just doing my normal working out in the yard like i had been doing all summer long withing about 1 month-2months i had several close friends comment on how toned i was ( and i'm not lying I could see a little muscle as well.) never before have i seen results or muscle tone even if i worked out 24/7. SO hear you have it. it worked fo rme no b.s.

Absolutely!!! Just ask Tony Mandrich (The 2nd overall NFL draft pick in 1989). He was an offensive lineman who went to school at Michigan State. In college, he weighed 310 pounds, but was only about 8% body fat (The guy was built like a huge Greek god). It was rumored that he was using steroids in college, and MSU would not have him tested. When he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers, he held out until the very last minute before signing a contract. His weight had dropped to about 260, but it was obvious he had added about three or four inches around his gut. Though it was never proven, many (including myself) believe he went off the steroids after being drafted, and doing so caused him to loose a lot of his muscle mass. His NFL career was very short lived, and he is considered to be in the top ten amongst first round busts. I am a Lions fan, and, since Green Bay, our arch rival in the then NFC Central (Now the NFC North) took this bum, we ended up with some guy out of Oklahoma State named Barry Sanders.

Cardio man. Eat like your eating now, maybe increase the protine, and run. Run 3x a week to start for atleast 20 minutes at a time. Once that gets easy up it to 30 or 40 minutes. You should be running 5ks in no time. Don't stop and start. Once you start running don't stop until you are finished, just adjust your spped, but never stop jogging. Otherwise, you are conditioning your body and your brain to relax when you start really burning calories. Finish strong with every workout. Meaning, sprint the last 1/10th of a mile or so. Good luck

Lift weights, lifting weights adds muscle which adds weight. Aerobic exercise such as running loses body fat. Also ,muscle burns fat,so the more muscle mass you have the more fat you burn. If you just want to get toned and strong but not big and bulky ,try resistance exercises ,which use no weights

Maintain a healthy diet without carbs and too much fat or sugar. This will keep your metabolism up and stable to burn fat.
Work out ALOT. you will gain muscle - muscle "eats" the fat and it weighs more than fat too so if the scale says you weigh more its just muscle.

Simply put, EXCERCISE and eat healthy (stuff yourself with veggies, fruit and PROTEIN)

when i say protein i dont suggest you eat meat only because meat is fatty flesh. but eat things like beans, soy, fish and eggs

Fewer carbs and a little more fat and protein.
Muscle weighs more than fat - keep up the work outs
