I do 40 of 'em every day, but my tummy ain't quite a washboard neither, as I eat too much sugar. Don't sweat it, though, Emma. Most guys, myself included, find a little ponch like yours sexy.

Sit ups aren't the best way to get rid of that baby fat. While sit ups and crunches both may tone your stomach, you should try something like bicycles, planks, and that sort. Bicycles: Lay on your back on the floor. Put your hands behind your head and lift your feet off the ground 6 inches. Then, turn your torso to touch your elbow to your opposite knee. Repeat. Go bak and forth. If your doing it right, it should look kinda lke your riding a bike. Make sure that which ever leg isnt touching an elbow is striaght. I usually do 40 of these then a 1 minutes plank. Planks: Get in a push up position, but on your elbows. You can put your hands togeter. Make sure your body is off the ground. Look straight ahead. Hold for 30 secs to 1 minute. I do 4 sets of bicycles then planks. I would do 4 sets a day for a little while and see hwo that works. GOOD LUCK!! :)

I have no idea what 7 stone 7 is, so I don't know if you're obese or anorexic.

I can however say that having a flat stomach is more based on low body fat then ab exercises. I can also say that for many women, having a totally flat stomach and being healthy are mutually exclusive.

Sit ups providing you do a lot, at least 300 per week give you good abdominal definition. However for those abs to show well you need a low level of body fat, for which you need to change your diet and/or take regular aerobic exercise. Abs are much harder for women to get because you naturally have a higher level of body fat.......still abs on a women yerch! Like most men I think, a small rounded stomach is much more sexy and natural.

You don’t need to exercise for long periods of time. Short, sharp sets of exercise will produce better results when you work hard. Get a omitting rope, skip for two units, do push ups for 1 minute, skip for two minutes, rest for just one minute. Then change the push around something else like sit ups along with do the set again. Repeat it five times and it’s a rapid, effective workout that will advance results than a long function or swim.

im a personal trainer....
all ab exercises are helpful but only with the right diet.
eat 6 small meals a day with lots of grains, nuts, fruits and veggies.
a flat stomach can only come when the body does not need to store fat because it is aware that it wil be fueled properly 6 times a day.
do core exercises and yoga
read abs diet book, knowledgable but obvious like my instructions
good luck

prior to being pregnant and having a permenant saggy belly, i used to have the flatest tummy around, i used to stand up and bend over and touch my toes every day, i worked up from 5 a day so that in the end i did 50-100 a day, although i dont know if this type of exercise would be harmfull for your back. girls used to ***** at me when i was out and be nasty as my tummy was so flat. best of luck although some people just naturally have a rounded bit, dont worry so much, although i know that none of us are happy with our bodies [which i put this down to the stupid advertisers]

Unfortunately, there is no way to "spot reduce" and lose weight in a particular part of the body. When you lose weight, you lose it all over.

Working your abs with situps or crunchers will tone your stomach and build your stomach muscles.
