My stepbrother is doing and selling drugs out of my 78yrs old dads house. He has stolen from my dad and does not work. My dad says not to do anything because it just causes problems. (That is hard to do) This step is 24 and is making my dads life hell. If we turn him in to the law i am afraid that my dad will go deeper in debt to get him out of trouble and also give him a stroke. How do i get this step to leave, get help or to get arrested without my father getting hurt. I do have more on this subject, so let me ask me anything. Please help me......

I would call Dr. Phil. He'll put him in the Dr. Phil house where he will have to straighten up and fly right! b

So whats the story on Step-Mom? She apparantly is what I would call a sucubus. Just by the way she raised her kiddo there we can definetly see that he never learned how to self-regulated himself, hence, no self-respect. He proubly doesn't care about that, nor does he think he is much on brains, nor does he think he needs to worry about such issues as morality or fairness. So your basically dealing with your dad as the problem, it isn't the step-brothers fault (why you ask? BECAUSE HE DOESN"T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE KID HE MADE THAT CHOICE!) nor is it the step-mothers (AGAIN HE MADE THE CHOICE TO BE WITH HER, EVER HEARD OF MAKING YOUR BED AND SLEEPING IN IT?) its simply hes now, its comming down to what is HE going to do about it. Well he made his choice, nothing. Your hands are tied, go ahead call the cops (yep more drama), take to the step-mom (even more drama) so your basically dealing with the same problem alot of kiddos deal with when they move away, a lonely parent. What can you do? Or worlds all twisted, your father THINKS he needs some one there, so yea its just our wonderful culture and the consequnces of it. So theres not right or wrong here, just try and cope with it the best you can..... but thats the best I can think without knowing

1. The duration of the relationship
2. History of the relationship
3. Your situation
4. Things that have been tried
5. The relationship to the step-mother

So thats all pretty much the general advice, in situations like this are hands DO get tied....

i think the best thing to do is to let him out of the house, then don't do anything else, make him on his own
