Christian fundamentalists are just as bad or worse than Islamic fundamentalists. How can a group denounce another group only to do the same thing?

You speak of extremist, not Christians as a whole. You also left out the word militant. The militant Christian Extremist (Fundamentalists means something else entirely and can only be applied to Christians, no other religions) just denouce everyone except themselves, that even includes more moderate Christians.

Christian fundamentalists try to do not so great things such as get creationism in the school and put down evolution; they don't engage in terrorism (attacking civilians, suicide bombings, attacking cities with chemical warfare)

I think you are confusing fundamental with militant
But I see your point. The extremists of one religion are just as bad as the extremists of any other.
Myself, I hold to the basic fundamentals of the Christian faith, but, I am not an extremist, not militant
