He still has sponsorship from ATT (Cingular) It is all over his uniform.
The logos on the car are tied up in court. ATT won the right to put logos on car earlier this year.
That ruling was over turned when NASCAR sued to enforce the agreement with Nextel.
It is under appeal in Federal court, awaiting a ruling next month.
In the mean time RCR has chosen to go with no logo instead of the ones that NASCAR has approved.
My personal opinion, ATT owned half of Cingular before Nextels agreement with NASCAR. Bell South owned the other half.
ATT bought out Bell South, acquiring Cingular in the process.
They chose to rename the company that they already owned.
Why should they not be allowed to put their logos on the car.
Nextel has been bought by Sprint and has changed their name and logo.

AT&T will now no longer be able to sponsor Jeff Burton or every person else for that mater in the dash Cup sequence as a results of conflicts with dash. RCR has signed CAT to be the accepted sponsor for Jeff Burton beginning in 2009.

I think Jeff needs to just get away from the p*ssing match the phone companies are in.
I think that Sprint/Nextel should have realized that Cingular was already a sponsor of the car when they bought the rights to the cup.
I think that Nascar Directors should step up and tell Nextel to deal with it.
If I were Jeff and wanted to stay with the phone companies I would go with Trac Phone then I could only use it when I wanted to.

Put a www.________.com website on it like www.JeffBurton.com on it so when people wondered what it was they'd check it out and it would redirect them to AT&T's website. Have a secrete sticker on the hood that if you peal it back it would say AT&T. Just the curiosity could get them more recognition. "What's under the sticker".
Take an advantage of it and make a game out of it. TV commercials with Jeff Burton pealing the sticker back and letting everyone in on the segret. "AT&T"
