The latest and greatest public figure that is being told APOLOGIZE!
is Jerry Lewis
Gay rights group to Jerry Lewis: Apologize for slur

How many times do we see people in the Media and public office force to say *I apologize* does anyone really want to hear I'm sorry from a person that does not mean it but is only forced to say it?

Why can't people say well if that's how you feel okay,so be it or present themselves in a way that would want the other person to really mean an apology when they say it?

Dear they also know it in their hearts, only thing is they are not sincere with themselves as the vices of this world have closed them down..

I'm sorry but people are just not up to long term segregation and ridicule for not simply saying three short words that can gain them some kind of acceptance back into the good grace of all the other pretentious souls masquerading on this planet.

Read the sodding article. They want to sit with him and explain it to him.

I know that most explanations go straight over your head, but the probability of Jerry Lewis being smarter than you is pretty high. If he can be shown how offensive his remarks were to a significant proportion of the population maybe he will want to sincerely applogise.

I don't believe people should be made to apologize. I am bi and I am not hurt by what other people say about gays because I realize that to be hurt by it is just a waste of time. People are ignorant, and you move on. But, we do live in America where there is free speech.... Now if he were slewing hate speech to youths, that would be different.

Jerry's true nature was exposed, he needs to lay off the sauce.

But I will say that he has done more good for Cerebral Palsy than God or Christians so maybe he deserves a little bit of a break.

If I was a person in a position of power and I said the following: "All Christians are Inbreds" you would want me to apologies wouldn't you?

I am not implying that all Christians are Inbreds with that comment.

He should apologize. He was hurtful and mean. I have no sympathy for cruel people especially when what they try to support is thinly veiled bigotry. Whether he means it or not he sets an example.
No one should force him, but he should be told that he's expected to apologize whether he does or not.

i am not religious at all , but hey! i have nothing bad to say against christians , you judge people for who they are not on their religious convictions , people can make mistakes , as nobody is perfect , this is one of the cornerstones of the christian religion. People should not be forced to apologize if they dont want too.People should be able to say what they want, one of the cornerstones of the American costitution.

No one can force an apology. If you want to be a bigoted idiot and spew hatred everywhere, that's your right. But if you don't apologize when you insult someone, then you pay the consequences.

Look how quick we are to judge others. As if we have never said or done anything reprehensible. Let the one who has never "sinned" throw the first stone.
