How do you like life over there compared to back home? I have dual citizenship but have spent all my teenage and adult years in London, sometimes I consider moving back because of cost of living being so high here, but certain things worry me- namely health care costs, the conservative extremists, the significantly lower paid holiday allowance... So I'm just wondering how people who have done this feel, what the pros and cons were for you... anything that might help me make up my mind really!

I'm not just going by what I read here, half my family is in the states, and from what I gather their health insurance policies are a source of constant stress and they never feel like they're able to take their vacation time. The cheaper cost of living is a huge temptation, but I wouldnt want to go back only to find even bigger sources of worry.

Its not as bad over here as you make it sound. If you have a skill that pays then the companies here get you health care, the only conservative extremists that you come in contact with are when you accidently hit the AM dial on your car radio and most companies give paid holidays.

Why visit Disney World when you live in it.

Air forces are not connected - you can't transfer to the US Air Force (not RAF - the R stands for Royal; USA doesn't have a royal family) from the UK RAF. If you want to live in America, you need to apply for a visa. Whether or not you're from the UK or New Zealand, you'll still need a visa.

We have the conservative extremists well under control.
When Bush goes things will be much better unless a democrat gets in the white house.
I don't like "extremists" of any stripe.
Yes, you won't get as much "holidays" here but it is much cheaper to live here.

Don't believe everything you read on yahoo,
America is thee most beautiful country on the planet and the people are the nicest most caring patriotic, warm hearted folk's to have graced this earth. I love them all dearly.

Back home?? Home is where the heart is, life goes on, and time can't stand still, will you?.

Get out into the world and spread your wing's the world is your oyster and you are free to do with it what you will.
