Great car for the money and great on gas. i own a 2007 yaris hatchback and its roomy and fun to drive. mines an automatic and i drive 20 miles each was to work which has some stops along the way and i get 38mpg with it. Im sure if i take it on a road trip with no stops, i would probably be looking at around 42-45. same size engine as the toyota echo was and i had one of those and the best i got out of the echo was 49 on the interstate nonstop. Buy one well worth the money. I missed my echo so i had to get the yaris in a hatchback when i could get a good deal. Now is the best time to get the 2007 if you can still find them on the lot because some dealers are going below the sticker and for toyota that is rare. Just bought mine a couple weeks ago.

Perfect little commuter car, but nothing more. Don't think about taking it on long road trips because you'd just get tired of it, and in it. Other than that, very reliable, great on gas and cheap too. The brand new ones start out at $11,150 but you could probably get a slightly used one for abound 10 grand. Keep in mind that prices do vary accordingly, so don't expect to get a Yaris S for 10 grand.

I was really impressed with the test drive. They seem pretty roomy, are fun to drive, and the interior styling is really sophisticated. I'm sure it's going to be reliable and hold its value well. The only complaint I've heard is emergency handling. It seemed to handle really well though when I drove it. I ended up getting a Prius for the lower emissions and fuel consumption, but in its price range, I think a Yaris is hard to beat.

It has a 1.5 lite 4 cylinder engine. Around 10,000-14,000 and comes in a hatchback and sedan. It has great gas mileage and repaced the echo. It is very suited for young drivers because of its tyle price and reliability. it competes with the Honda fit and nisson versa but the yaris standouts out. a great car! cute to some and u can imoress ur frineds!

A really good car in my opinion. I don't think it would make a very good highway car. A semi will pass ya & it will get tossed around from the wind current. It's a very light weight car. At today's gas prices, it would be a great commuter car for around the city, to & from work, etc... Also consider the Nissan Versa.

Good on mileage, but just too small for my taste.
