I have 3 you can have lol hahahaha Of course you know im kidding....... I know how you feel. My son was 9 when i had my daughter..... i missed the baby stages, now my 6 year old is far from a baby and i have the new baby......
all i can say is look forward to grandkids..... Fostering , i have done but it tears me up when they take the child and give it back to the abusive, druggy parent !!!! Its not for me !! Try to get everything ready for grand babies so you can enjoy them !!! I know what it means to a child to have a wonderful gram !!!!
Im 34 and hope to beable to have another child but im not sure it will happen due to my health...... But yes before this baby I had bad baby blues.....

I'm not as old, but my mother had me when she was 35, and I didn't really enjoy it because she was always too tired to even take a walk with me. I'm 28 and she's 64. We never did much of anything together which I think I would have loved to enjoy an outing with her.
I married young and had my kids young. When our youngest (he's 6 now) leaves us (hopefully no earlier then 18yrs old) then I will be 40 and my hubby 42. We always talk about traveling and enjoying that while we are still young. I have an 11 yr old and she and I always do mother/daughter outings. I can no longer have any kids, but when I feel the need to hold a baby I visit my nieces and help them out with their kids.

I totally understand your situation. I have a 17 year old too. I too would love another. The more I do the farther my husband runs. Well either way i loose. So I can not give you a an ending time. None of my friends feel like i do and I have felt this way for 7 years.
Congratulations, Rice is a fine university.

My husband and I were laughing the other day because we realized we are going to be 44 and 46 when our youngest of four (hypothetically)moves out of the house! We said oh boy are we going to be in for it! We'll hit our "midlife" and have the empty nest all at the same time lol
Personally, I would stick it out and wait for the grandchildren. It's a wonderful thought to imagine having another new baby in the house...but think about the idea of putting them through college when you are in your 60s!

As a woman gets older her risk for complicated pregnancies, miscarriages, and birth defects increase substancially. Wht don't you apply to be foster parents? There are also infants that need temporary homes. You could volunteer at a children's hospital or open a daycare. You could also go back to school and get a nursing degree and become a labor and delivery nurse- you get to care for all kinds of newborn babies!

Please, whatever you do, DON'T be that mom who nags her kids to have kids! I was lucky not to have that sort of mom but I had friends who did and it made them miserable if they weren't married off and pregnant by age 24. It'll happen......in the meantime, why not volunteer at a hospital? My mom did this and got to hold babies all day long. It's probably what kept her from nagging me!
