The recipe I have for the rice crispy squares is very similar to what is already listed except it calls for marshmallow creme instead of marshmallows.

1/2 stick butter (1/4 cup)
7 oz container Marshmallow Creme
1 tsp vanilla extract
5 c Rice Crispie cereal

Melt butter. Stir in marshmallow creme until all is mixed and boiling. Remove from heat, add the vanilla and stir. Pour over the rice crispies and stir well. Pour into a pan lined with aluminum foil and spread flat. Once it's cooled and hardened, cut into squares and move to a plate.

NOTES / HINTS
For chewier bars, use an extra cup of miniature marshmallows or about 8 regular marshmallows.

get some rice crispies and some mashmallows and some butter.

Melt a couple of table spoons of butter, add a nice big bag of marshmallows, allow to melt with the butter then pour in rice crispies until it appears to be of a good consistency (all sticks together nicely but not too runny)

Its very easy and don't need any exact measurements, just a process of adding rice crispies until right

Now, to make them fun...
1) after you have put them in a pan, cover them with melted chocolate chips
2) after melting the marshmallow and before you add the cereal, put a tablespoon or two of peanut butter in the marshmallow - then cover with chocolate
3) for holidays, dye the melted mixture (before adding cereal) and shape into relevant shape and decorate (green Christmas tree with M&Ms, licorice strips, etc.; chocolate crispies and orange crispies shaped like a jack-o-lantern, etc.; chocolate individual footballs, etc.)
