Go out and shoot all of the bows you can get your hands on. Whichever feels the best, that is the best... for you. Look for smooth draw, a solid wall at the end of the draw, a comfortable no torque grip, little to no vibration during and after shot, little to know noise, and a size that you would feel comfortable handling in field..

No one can truly say this is better than that because it is all opinions. I hate PSE and they won Best of the Best from Filed and Stream. I just do not like the way I shoot PSE bows, but apparently the dudes from F&S did.

That being said, Hoyt makes the best bows!!!! The Vectrix blows away everything else out there!!!

I own a Matthews. I was a victim of great advertising, so I bought it. I certainly have never regretted it. They have great customer service, and they make a great product. I took some archery lessons a few summers back to break some bad habits, and after I was done, I could stack arrows in a 2 inch group out to 50 yards. I can't do that anymore, but that's not the bow's fault. I also had a limb get a tiny split in it a few years back. I took it to the pro shop, and they immediately replaced both limbs on the bow. Took less than a week, and it cost me nothing. They never even asked what happened. I didn't know what happened, but I was glad not to get interrogated about it. So, long story short, I vote Matthews.

I would have to say it is all personal choice from whom asked and what brand is best!
For me it would be the bow I had the best "feel" with and shot good not looks or speed!
Go to your local proshop and hold some bows until you find the one that feels good to you and see if you can shoot it.Comfort and the feel of a bow is what you need to look at then if you shoot it good it is a match made!

The best brand is one that you have shot and feel most comfortable with. This can best be accomplished at an archery shop especially if you do not have significant experience. A brand that can be serviced near where you live or use it is a plus.

Most (including me) would tell you that the top brands (and most expensive) are: Mathews, Bowtech, Hoyt.

A significant case can be made for others. Be guided by trying them out and your wallet.

everyone has their favorite and they will all say their's is the best. the truth is the best one is the one that you can shoot the best.go to a cabelas or bass pro.they will fit a bow to you and you can test shoot it.you can also go to a archery shop but they will be much higher.people now are really hung up on who's bow shoots the fastest.it does not make a dam if it is the fastest if you can not shoot it

as I know for sure said going to a archery pro shop is your best bet......the worst thing you can do is to walk into walmart and expect to get anything you need.........

Mathews, bowtech, Hoyt, PSE, martin ,browning all are good brands

someone was asking about an used Oneida bow, that was one of the top of the line brands back in the late 1980's to early 1990's and he found it to be one smoothest drawing bows around .............its all about your choice and how it feels to you......
