Heaven existed before Christ because God the Father's abode is there.
If you read 1 Peter 3: 19 and 4:6 you will better understand that Christ, having died upon the cross, visited the spirits in the spirit world and preached to them. Those departed spirits were all the souls living from Adam through Noah's times, reaching the time of Christ in mortality.

The Old Testament was full of pictures of Christ. The faithful Old Testament believers looked to God's salvation through the pictures, such as the animal sacrifices.

Those who were believers before Christ looked ahead to the promise of salvation in Messiah. It is foretold throughout the Old Testament, and those who were saved were saved only by faith in the salvation of the coming Messiah. Today the only way to be saved is to look back at the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, the only way to be saved today is to believe that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again.

The bible tells us that the people of the Old Testament times, though they looked forward to the promised Messiah, were saved by their faith in God. The bible says, for instance, Abraham, it was "accounted to him as righteousness" when he was obedient to God.
Jesus taught a story about a rich man and a poor man, both who had died. The rich man was in torment, and the poor man was being comforted "in Abraham's bosom". That is where the Old Testament faithful were, before Jesus' death on the cross.

The dictative Brahmin faith in historic india set up 4 caste structures and condemned the nearby indians as slaves who would desire to in no way be liberated. They claimed that their god, Brahma, created the universe. They brushed aside all different teachings and religions. Prince Gautama, with all enjoyments and advantages from the Brahmins, disagreed in any different case and believed that each one sentient beings would desire to be liberated, and not one of the classes then would desire to incredibly lead ones in the direction of liberation, no longer even the Brahmins' teachings. take notice that he grow to be a prince, he grow to be taking area in all of the advantages, his compassion got here from others' sufferings, noticeably those of lowest castes. After his enlightenment, he prevalent disciples from any caste point, which includes the slaves and girls people, and further instruction manual them in the direction of enlightenment. If prince gautama (Buddha) have been to believe others superficially, he does no longer are starting to be a Buddha (the enlightened one). to that end, do no longer basically believe completely without examining it despite the fact that if it rather is existence like, and despite the fact that if it rather is coaching you stable? No ethical religions or teachings could condemn somebody to hell unreasonably. Caste device, racism and comparable believes are incorrect teachings of the previous. In end, others can say (negatively) what they say (to create concern, rigidity and desparation). yet a real Buddhist does no longer be shaken using fact he knows needless to say those are the incorrect teachings that does no longer lead one in the direction of liberation.

They went to Sheol, the realm of the dead, otherwise known as Abraham's bosom. When Christ died, He brought the gospel to them too and then heaven was opened to the righteous in Sheol.
That is what Christ did between His death and resurection. It is in Peter's epistle.

There is some Christian ontology that deals with that and other similar issues. It's basically a cover-up for another of the many inconsistencies in that religion.
