why did he create the rest of the universe?
what point would there be in the billions of other Galaxies, if they hold no life?
if other life does exist on these other worlds, what makes us the more prominant beings, in Gods Eyes?

american beauty, the fact that religious cults, such as Catholicism, teach us that the human race is Gods children and that he made us in his image and that all the teachings of the bible follow this thought , it is assumed by many christian religions and others this planet of ours is of some significance to God, thus centre of his plan, thus centre of the universe. the fact that you could not grasp this, even though you are christian, speaks volumes.

saints of sorts, you are a christian I like.
but most christians believe that there is only life on earth within the entire universe and if aliens landed on earth it would threaten all of the religious text and faith.

I think the point here is, GOD did not create the universe nor did he create our world nor did he create us !!!
WE have evolved over years to become what we are today, just because there seems to be no life elsewhere as evolved as we are doesn't mean there is not life. who is to say that yes there are weird like aliens living on one planet, jelly like substances living on another etc, could it be they are in stages of their own evolution? Maybe they will transpire into beings similar to us but evolved to their surroundings. Our planet is unique as it has allowed us to be as evolved as we are and to date no other planet has the same qualities as ours.
The point you make about the people felt the earth was flat, well that is correct, when they looked at the sky they saw thousands of stars at this point of their evolvement this would be a natural assumption as the people who wrote the the Bible said it was!!!! Today however we have a greater mind and understanding of the universe and that it is based on cause and effect. The Bible states the planet is only 12000 years old but we know for a fact, geographically, the planet is much, much older than that.
The Bible, Jesus ,Virgin Mary, Joseph, The crown of thorns, Resurrection, God etc etc can all be explained astrologically and i can give you a website to look at that will clear this up for you all.
Posing question, because we understand (Aethists)that there is no God and will not be controlled by religious zealots and that we have evolved to be what we are today does that make us a hybrid of our species????

I don't want to unduly single anyone out, but I'd like to respond directly to two incorrect statements made above:
1. "When one looks at the expanse of the heavens it is obvious that none of this happened by accident"
How exactly? Nothing of the sort is true! Let me give you an example....When a nuclear bomb goes off, the result is a totally chaotic and random release of particles and energy. I'm sure even you can accept that this is a chaotic event, yes? So...why then does this random event always create a roughly mushroom-shaped cloud? Is god getting involved here too? Does he think...."oooh that looks a bit messy...let me create a mushroom shape...just to make it pretty for people to look at!".
What IS obvious, is that you are blind to the fact that beauty and order can very easily result from random events!!
So, is my simple example getting through that meat-head of yours yet?? If not, there are plenty of other examples of order-from-chaos in nature for you to be incapable of understanding..
2. "But if there is no creator god how did the universe get here?"
OK...But if there is a creator..how did he get here? If he/it has always existed...and you're ok with that, then why not just accept that it is perfectly possible that the mass and energy that makes up the universe has also just "always been there". Just because I can't explain it doesn't mean I need to blame it on something I invent in my own mind. I just accept that there are some things which I will never know.

The Bible does not say the earth was created in 6 literal 24-hour days. Not every Christian believes that.
The rest of the Universe is an evidence of God's power and majesty. It also gives man something to wonder at, something to discover and explore. Had Adam and Eve not sinned, God may have intended to have other planets populated when earth became full. Who knows, that may still happen in the distant future.
Personally, I don't believe that life exist's on other planets, and even if they did, I think we would all be equal in God's eyes.
----------------
Interestingly, the Bible is free from popular theories that existed at the time of it's writing. If it was written by man with no outside inspiration, you would expect it to be littered with beliefs like the earth being at the centre of the Universe, the earth being held up by Atlas or a bunch of elephants on a giant turtle, etc.

The day as we understand it cannot be the day as God understands it, as written in Genesis. Since the Earth was not set spinning until Day 4, there was no such thing as the 24-hour day for the first three "days". I think rather "day" refers to God's working day, and its length is a mystery, rather than the strict 24 hour day we know now the universe has settled down. I also think the writers of Genesis may have got Days 3 and 4 the wrong way round. If the division of day and night, the realm of the sun and the realm of the moon and stars did not happen until Day 4, then the vegetation created in Day 3 would not survive for long! Apart from that, Genesis puts it incredibly succinctly, and I challenge any scientist or atheist to express it in fewer words.

Now who said we are promininent beings if you don't even know what else is out there? It is truly unknown why God created multiple galaxies and universes and thats what makes Him so mysterious..I am very open to the idea that there is other life out there..because I honestly don't believe God just created one planet to have life on when there are billions of others out there too. And He has the power to form other life if He has the power to create life on this Earth. Aliens are not spoken of in the bible but then again the bible does not speak on alot of things in this modern day and age so I just keep an open mind..Just because the Bible doesn't talk about it doesn't mean its not out there.

Why dont all you Catholics and Cristians take your heads from up your ***'s and your noses out of the bible and have a read of some of Erich von Däniken's books for a better insight at how the world was created i suspect the books are a lot closer to the truth than the bible will ever be

earth was created in 6 days but a day is like 1000 yrs to G_D. so in reality that means it was created over 6000 yrs.
if you take the name of G_D, the Hebrew Tetragramanton and write it horizontally it becomes the form of a man with a heart standing there. " and I will create man in My image ".
what we "call" the universe is what is called heaven but not heaven as most assume, for there are multiple layers of "heaven". I won't get into explaining it all and why its all there, I'll let you stump youself on this part as this is how I got turned onto the truth. Read up and actually do the calculations that they show work to judge how far a star is using geometry and the angle of a triangle. When you "can" do this, go get your medal cause you will be the first in the world. For it can't be done.
Now we are unsure of what other life is out there due to one simple word in Genesis. G_D speaks to the "hosts" during the construction of earth. If you define "hosts" it means " a multitude of people, a group". So we must ask ourselves, who is this group?
Now we can rule out "aliens" for their story is a perfect mirror of what the Nephilim are. The fallen angels (reptile aliens) and the offspring they bore as they took up human wives. These "children" become what most call "grays".
When a "gray" dies, their spirit is forced to roam the world till judgment day, tormenting men. This is what we call ghosts, spirits, demons, possessions, etc. These are also the "spirits" that people tap into when they do tarot card reading, spiritual readings, talking to the dead, playing with magic, etc.
So we are left again with, who are the "hosts". To date, through multiple missing books, qu'ran and bible, I have yet to find that answer. Maybe we are not to know.

The wonders of the heavens were created by God in order that an honest person seeking to know whether there is a God would be convinced that He does exist. When one looks at the expanse of the heavens it is obvious that none of this happened by accident and that fact points us to a Creator. God testifies that He is that Creator.
God has given us His written testimony about how and why He created the heavens and the earth. He does not specifically say that there is life anywhere else in the universe, something I would have expected Him to do if there was. He does not even allude to life elsewhere in the universe.
The bible indicates that we human beings were the crowning achievement of His creation and that He created us to have a relationship with us because He loves us.
The world is not the center of the universe, God is and He wants to be the center of yours too.

2. Who said they didn't hold life ?
3. When God created us He made us above all life on Earth and we had dominion over it. The bible doesn't mention other worlds.

Remember that creation took another course when Satan tempted Adam and Eve. They were supposed to live everlastingly, and so were we. Perhaps, we would have had the opportunity to populate or visit other planets if things did not turn out the way they did. Right now, everything is on a halt, until evil is wiped out of the face of the Earth. God has not change his mind about living everlastingly in this universe.
