I had what seemed to be gallbladder attacks for several months and they didn't find anything; finally I was hospitalized due to the pain and they found some sludge that could turn into gallstones. They did the surgery, and when they got my gallbladder out, it was scarred from repeated serious infections. I had been having gallbladder trouble the entire time but it was dismissed because they didn't find anything on the scan. Continue to see your doctor until they find out what's wrong.

Could be damage to one of your ribs. When I was heavier and had just eaten a large meal, I bent over with my legs crossed to pick up something on the floor. This damaged my rib. It took a while to heal, but have not had problem again since loosing weight.

Same thing happened to a friend.

Just because there are no gallstones, doesn't mean your gallbladder is functioning. I finally convinced my surgeon to take mine out even though they couldn't find any stones on the scan. When they got in there, my gallbladder didn't have stones BUT it was diseased and was making me very, very sick.
