375F for deep frying. He is right, they brown and float when they're done. Just carefully drop them in, move them around a bit with a slotted metal spoon so they don't stick together, and just wait until they're browned and floating. Then remove with the slotted spoon and drain on paper towels to get rid of some grease. Voila! They're done!

You are describing a "Fry Daddy" or similar deep fryer. They only have one temperature and a slotted metal tool to remove the cooked food instead of a basket. Wait until the light indicates that the oil is properly heated before adding the food. Cook the two foods separately until they are browned to your liking. They are both pre-cooked so you only need to cook them long enough to brown and heat them. Do them in small batches so you don't cool the oil too much when you add the food.

Pre heat the oil to about 425 and put all ingredients in the basket, gently lower into deep fryer for a few minutes or until brown... careful

400 degrees cook fries till desired color, probably no more than 5 minutes and the chicken you'll want to do first cuz it'll take longer same temp and again watch the color they usually do float when they're done but you can't always count on it probably no more than 8-9 minutes use tongs or slotted spoon to remove them make sure you drain them on paper towels

depending on the type of you are using you don't want to get above 325 degrees cause you may burn the oil. your fries should float when they're done done, depending on how thick the tenders are about 2-3 minutes.

Throw away the deep fryer (once it's cool) and just use your oven. It's healthier and a LOT safer!

preheat your oil to 400 degrees...make sure oil is hot, because otherwise food will be soggy and greasy. Just be careful of the hot oil, it will probably splatter.
