I like both. Dining in b/c it's more relaxed and romantic (you can eat nude). Dining out b/c you don't have to cook or clean.

Dining in or dining out. There are a few things to consider. First, is it a celebration or a get to know you moment. Are you planning on additional quiet time with someone later or is it, "if something happens, it happens" kind of night.

I have always enjoyed preparing a meal, making the presentation of it and watching someone enjoy it because they know the attention to detail was important.

I also like to take someone out to places where they might have never gone and introducing them to food that is so delicious they make noises when they eat.

Either way, I think you have to know what is next in order to have the desirable preference.

Dining in is much better. It's a more intimate setting, and more comfortable. Also, wherever you're dining (whether at your place, or his/hers), that person is usually the one cooking for the other.

Whenever my boyfriend and I dine in, we cook together. And we have fun with it. Usually when we are on opposite sides of the kitchen doing different things, whenever we have to cross each other, sometimes we'll dance around the kitchen (given our hands are free), or we'll goof off and be silly. Then of course when all parts of our meal are finished, we sit and eat, and just enjoy the comforts of being inside. Bad thing is when it comes time to clean up and do dishes. But even then we do them together and still enjoy the initmacy/bonding behind it.

We like to dine out also, but we don't have as much fun. When dining out we just joke, chat, and eat. Thing is we can have fun no matter where we go or what we do.

Out.
It's nice to get a little dressed up and have someone wait on me for a change. It's a chance to have a conversation without a TV blaring in the background. And it's always nice to try something new on the menu.

I like to dine out. That way Someone else takes care of the cooking and cleaning and serving and I get to focus on the company.

My wife likes to eat in. She thinks her cooking is better and less expensive then any restaurant.

She is right about her cooking I like it better too. But it is a lot of distracting work, and it is worth the money to me to enjoy the time with her.

In a perfect world, I suppose someone else would come to our house and cook and serve my wife's cooking to us then leave us alone.
